JAGUAR MARK I :
The Jaguar is based on an ASCOD AFV hull mounting the turret from the Russian BMP-T Terminator. The turret mounts 4 x 130mm Ataka-T anti-tank guided missile launchers, 2 x 30mm 2A42 autocannons (850 rounds, 1 x 7.62mm PKTM machine gun (2,000 rounds) and 12 x 902A automatic smoke grenade launchers. I have also opted for 2 x 60mm automatic mortars mounted in a secondary turret at the rear. Along with a full day/night fire-control system the main turret also mounts a LIDAR for an (effectively) passive 360 degrees sensor.

I would also recommend that the vehicle carry a version of the Trophy missile defence system - The system includes the Elta EL/M-2133[4] F/G band fire-control radar with four flat-panel antennas mounted on the vehicle, with a 360-degree field of view. When a projectile is detected, the internal computer calculates an approach vector before the projectile arrives. Once the incoming weapon is classified, the computers calculate the optimal time and angle to fire the counter-measures. The response comes from two rotating launchers installed on the sides of the vehicle which fire a very small number of a MEFPs (Multiple Explosively Formed Penetrators) which form a very tight, precise matrix, aimed at a specific point on the anti-tank projectile's warhead. The system is designed to have a very small kill zone so that it does not endanger personnel near the protected vehicle.

JAGUAR MARK IIs & PUMA SUPPORT VEHICLE : The Jaguar Armoured Reconnaissance Vehicle (armed with an 25mm M242 Bushmaster auto-cannon, a L94A1 7.62mm chain gun and 2 x 60mm mortars). It has an interchangeable sensor suite on a telescopic mast for added range and concealment. The Puma is the 90mm armed Fire Support Vehicle of the same AFV family. Both vehicles can be fitted with the Trophy missile defence system if needed. The wheeled variant carries the same turrets and sensor suites as the tracked family but is based on a fully amphibious 6x6 AFV.

Both the Jaguar Mk I-IIs and the Puma support vehicles were inspired by the designs of two of their allies who assisted the Brazilians in their Second War of Indepedence : Israel, Russia*

*Brazil has a weird set of supporters in this world. It will get weirder !

Since you guys expressed interest before (although they were different subjects) @Marduk @Tiamat @BF110C4 @Doomsought @Butch R. Mann @Aaron Fox @WolfBear @bintananth @Abhorsen @Bacle @The Whispering Monk @Agent23 @Arch Dornan @Husky_Khan @Bear Ribs

@A Vox in the Void since I just your horror and science fiction post (aand my worldbuilding will be somewhat tangent to both).

The premise of this world is a 20 minutes into the future trope but 5 instead of 20. The objective would be for me to write an enjoyable and realistic read, EXCEPT for some more science fiction-ish elements that probably are still a century away from being functional or usable.

As soon I finish my exams that will be in 6:14 hours (AND LIKELY FINISH AT 14:00 Time of Italy) I will write what Brazil has become in the Future.

I am not really fond of BMPT concept, I think the tank would be better served with single autocannon and reloadable ATGM launcher, thus saving on weight and reducing complexity. This way you could also cram 60 mm mortar into the turret, reducing the need for secondary turret, again saving the weight and reducing complexity. Also using the same gun on recon version would be great for logistics.

Does Puma use autoloader or manual loading? Also, does it come with canister shot? Asking for a friend who would like to borrow one for recreational purposes.

The BMPT concept is because of the (covert but de facto) Allies Brazil has, which are :

  1. Russia 🇷🇺 (hence the BMPT concept) with schematics, technology and equipment
  2. CSTO, the middle men who smuggles and sends what is mentioned above through
  3. Israel 🇮🇱 which I will try to show once I can find someone who knows about them. Training, technology intelligence and logistics. Protested the invasion of Brazil since they were establishing good relations with the LATAM country
  4. LATAM organizations diplomatic support countries except Argentina (or maybe not, haven't built everything yet)
  5. Syria 🇸🇾 but is limited to a few squads and diplomatic support
  6. India 🇮🇳 diplomatic and middle man for Russia

LOL. Autoloader.

Good idea,we need monarchy.
But - bolszewiks were genociders.Lenin killed millions before Sralin, and planned to genocide farmers, but died/or was murdered/
NEP was not new policy, but saving soviets from being destroyed. When they consolidated their power, they genocided again.
And for those who forget - they killed kings. You could not have bolszewik monarchist for that reason.

And If Russia,India, and Izrael supported your country, then you should fight either USA or USA allied with China.Interesting for USA poitics - they woud stop pay Izrael then. And maybe support Iran?
If you have China-USA alliance, then Japan and maybe South Korea would support you.Taiwan in that scenario would be arleady eaten.

They are minority in this lorebuilding, I was inspired by something that I saw in a comment in another forum (or was it Youtube?) : allegedly at one point the Bulgarian monarchist, the Turkish minority and the communist party were in a sort of a coalition.

Also they are more on the national than Bolshevik.

The situation of this alliance was created during a war, and much like the Falangists IN POST WAR Spain, they are a significant BUT tiny minority. They mostly run welfare programs.

I am still unsure what do to with China in my fiction. Same thing goes for the US, since they are the ones doing the invading.

Setting : Countries (Part 1)

TheRejectionist

TheRejectionist
COUNTRIES :

United Independent Federal Commonwealth of Russia : Formed just a few days after the Straits Conflict, what used to be Russia, South Ossetia, Russophone Ukraine and Kazakhstan, Belarus, Abkhazia. The hegemon of Eurasia after the Annihilations of Berlin and London. Beyond the major populations centers little is known what is going inside Russia and the Security of the Independent Russian United Commonwealth Bureau wants to keep that way, possibly and allegedly because they also have an hard time figuring out what’s happening.

Israel : After the bloody South Lebannon Border Crisis and Last Intifada (also known as the Third Intifada), along with the support of pro-Zionist but totalitarian fake democracies in Europe and the Intelligence Security Leak which resulted into hundreds of thousands dead in Europe and the United States, the Jewish State has little to no friends if any after the Karabakh Resolution, which is why they supported the Revolutionary Patriotic Front Alliance for National Unity against the Invasion force, to desperatly hoping to have at least a somewhat amicable country on their side. Inevitably , the Israelis had to normalize relations from a less than favorable position with their bordering neighbors even further, including but especially Syria, which resulted in the creation of the condominium of the Autonomous Golan Autonomous Free State Republic, which is not entirely free or autonomous due to the fact Arab towns are patrolled by the SAA and Jewish settlements by the IDF and Druze majority villages are run by militias.
The only advantage it had was the influx of Euro-American Jewish refugees, the Water War of Egypt-Ethiopia and the self-partition of Lebanon among religious lines after the short Third Civil War caused by the ever-rising inflation and fuel crisis.

Syria : the reconstruction of the country is still ongoing thanks to Russian, Brazilian investment but the scars of the war still haunt the new generations. Still resentful of Israelis' aid to the former “revolutionaries”, but it wants to avoid the Jewish state Samson option.

Imperial People’s Union of Brazil : the new Brazilian nation was conceived during the occupation of the country. The coalition that formed the national resistance , the Revolutionary Patriotic Front Alliance for National Unity ( Aliança da Frente Patriótica Revolucionária pela Unidade Nacional ) was a mix of largely hard right, evangelicals, monarchists and a significant minority of nationalist leftists who rejected the collaborationist government that was implanted by the invading forces, which was also made up of the Workers Party, Socialism and Liberty Party and Brazilian Social Democracy Party. What resulted after the Liberation (and later Brazilian North-Western Reconquista) of the country was a monarchy composed of wannabe evangelical theocrats, social nationalists and military men. Each would get his share to the pie, the slimmest one of course went to the National-Bolshevik faction who runs the Ministry of Social Welfare and Security (which one can access only if he completed his military service or served elsewhere), the Evangelicals got the Ministry of Family and similar offices, meanwhile the Ministry of Interior Affairs, Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs went to military figures and the Monarchist got the Ministries of Culture, Tourism, Education (although shared with Evangelicals in anything that isn’t science or economy related) meanwhile the rest of the political institutions are driven by a mentality of Singaporean pragmatic welfarist meritocracy but also equality of opportunity.

Author's note :

Some of this worldbuilding is based with a combination on historical and current recent world events plus my imagination.

I used to think that it looked ridiculous when I saw American movies and they asked : "where do you see yourself in 20 years ?" and me, a poor adolescent from the now almost non-existent favelas, couldn't think of even affording an old Sega console, much less what I would look like when I would be hitting forty. Now, now... now I am a general in the Union Liberation Army. Bear in mind, friend, I wasn't politically active, but I was aware of what it was outside our homeland...the history books call it the Second Cold War, though I would go with my preferred term, the Quiet War. So quiet it was we couldn't see that above and about to happen to us. We thought Venezuela would be first and we probably would have participated in what you instead did first to us...then to them.

The first day, our internet wasn't working.

The second day, even Globo couldn't broadcast.

The third day. Electricity went out. I will let you imagine what happens after a few hours in a poor neighbourhood when lights stop working. It ain't pretty.

Fourth day and we couldn't understand what was going on. Except that our beaches were "speaking English and French" and there were vehicles that seemed copy pasted from a science fiction movie.

Character dossier Part 1

Brazilian Emperor : a classical liberal constitutionalist , his predecessor and him accepted to participate symbolically and diplomatically after the return as head of state. He wants the Union to move to a more democratic society. The Chancellor, while somewhat agreeing, doesn’t have a timetable for it, nor does he share what kind of democracy the Union should be, with the Emperor preferring a constitutional monarchy in the style of the defunct United Kingdom while the Chancellor would go more with an Omani style democracy or a Singaporean style of democracy.

Chancellor Augustin Armada : while officially the head of state of Brazil is the Emperor, the Chancellor holds power. A soft monarchist but also strongly influenced by his own previous personal vision of National-bolshevism (which is little more than the desire for a nationalist welfare state) and is somewhat ambivalent on democracy and diplomatically (since his country’s global relationships have been influenced by friendships as much as realpolitik).

He is the main man behind the Reclamations War, or as the propaganda puts it, the “Holy People and Workers Crusade against totalitarian cosmopolitan neoliberal monopolism”, sometimes simply shortened to Homeland Liberation.

Anibal Bellisario : former Italian revolutionary, famously known for having personally decapitated the Prime Minister of Italy and member of the armed resistance against the invasion forces who occupied the Brazilian homeland. He was supposed to become an English teacher but being chased first in Trieste skies by NATO-planes and then chased again down into an unexplored and unchartered underground Sicilian city and gassed with hallucinogens shattered those aspirations. While Italy was liberated from capitalist oppression, he hasn’t seen it yet, too worried his friends wouldn’t recognize him anymore. Considering he has become a torturer and extrajudicially killed many collaborators under black ops for the Union and the Chancellor, that shouldn’t be surprising.

Natalya Ahsuel : Tel Avivian Teimanim , a former manager of an hostel in the hipster part of Israel’s former capital. Witnessed the horrors of war with the Final Intifada (to finish).

If they are minority, then it is OK.
About China - i read book wrote by polish teacher/he teached english there/ ,according to him, children from the school learn that Siberia belong rightfully to them,/well,in Tang dynasty times it was true/ and they all buy that.Even when he get some chineese friends,he discovered that even those who do not like party support that.
So,if Russia would be attacked, they would backstab them.
Or wait..Chineese arleady colonized Siberia,so they could afford to take over without war.

About burned Berlin - german mysthic,Teresa Neumann, said the same about future. Also, that german people would be almost anihitated. We would see in 10-20 years - WW3 would come in that timeline.

Those who survive- our saints said that Poland survive and become powerfull - but only if we remain faitful to God.Well, compared to West or Russia we are faitfull,but......

So I will go point by point :

  1. They are in minority because most leftist parties have sided with the invading forces.
  2. The main focus isn't China yet. I know about that they want Siberia and the only reason they haven't it yet is because they need allies
  3. Russia isn't getting attacked in my fiction. They are supporting the Brazilian rebellion together with Israelis.
  4. China isn't attacked yet
  5. Berlin : I haven't figured it out how to destroy it...yet.
  6. As of yet, I do not know how what role Poland will play beyond not partecipating in the invasion.
  7. Regarding the last part... I don't know man. That sounds a bit too much religiously speculative. I try to write a grounded fiction.

Can I get a basic outline of events in this world you're building, @TheRejectionist ? I know I said I'd have a look & give feedback in the other thread, but first I'm gonna need an idea of what's going on in a little more detail, and I don't even know the Current Year of the timeline atm. (That's to say, is this like 10 years into the future from today, or are we already halfway or even further through the 21st century if not beyond it?)

That said, from what I can glean the catalyst appears to be an American invasion of Brazil and more generally a globalist-technocratic attempt to maintain their hold on an increasingly volatile world by force that's starting to blow up in their face(?), which is certainly an interesting scenario.

  1. So, I started this project MUCH before I knew about the Sietch. The basic premise would be a science-fiction-horror-technothriller. Inspired by current events.
  2. I would say it's 20/30 years into the future.

  1. You got it right , I was hugely inspired by Deus Ex 1 (storywise) , Dead Space Trilogy and a few others.
  2. A few other inspirations were the following :
Historical inspirations were :

  1. Dutch invasion of Brazil
  2. German occupation of France during WW2 and Vichy France
  3. Eisenhower Dulles-sponsored overthrow of Arbenz's Guatemala
  4. Mildly the Nicaraguan Conflict (except having a wild assorment of rightwing militias fighting the narco and leftwing American backed collaborateurs)

Well I'm a huge fan of Deus Ex (and consider DX1 to be the best of that franchise in addition to being one of the best and most based games ever) and still mourn the murder of Dead Space by EA, so you have certainly further piqued my interest with that explanation 😁 I'll have to leave the more technical aspects to others since that's not usually my forte, but let's see if I can offer any useful feedback when it comes to the sociopolitical worldbuilding...

Well, I assume that for America (specifically a globalist America working with left-wing Brazilian factions) to invade Brazil, things must've really gone to crap between the two countries and probably the world order as a whole. The US didn't outright invade Venezuela under Chavez and Maduro after all, despite those places being both human rights disasters and massive affronts to American policy & ideology, instead preferring to back local proxies (who, as we know, have failed): for them to put boots on the ground in Brazil, they (or whoever is running DC from Globalist Control Hive #1, heh) must be really spooked that Brazil's pre-invasion leadership was on the verge of severely undermining US hegemony over South America.

So...perhaps you have a Bolsonaro on steroids running Brazil, and a true-believing SJW type in the White House. Someone who isn't just an establishment drone cynically attached to and mouthing the platitudes of progressive-globalist-totalitarian-critical-deconstructionism (or whatever you want to call the blend of ideologies which has effectively subsumed 99.9% of leftist political thought in the First World) like Pelosi or Biden himself, but a committed zealot like the Squad but also on steroids, the sort who would actually be unhinged enough to invade other countries abroad just because s/he doesn't like that they're run by evil fascist chuds and to try indulging in Reddit-tier far-left revenge fantasies at home. Or, at the very least, these voices must have a loud and domineering voice at the Democratic table even if the US has a saner Democrat officially at the top of the ticket and running the show, and invading Brazil to 'keep it from becoming a pillar of neo-fascism in the Western Hemisphere' or whatever might be one bone-headed way in which the more moderate president is trying to appease the representative(s) of his rabid base.

However! If events have proceeded as OTL up to the 2020s, as I would assume for simplicity's sake (if you set the POD further back in time, please do tell so I can adjust accordingly) - that is, the sequence of American presidents has gone Bush->Obama->Trump->Biden as it did IRL - then the US will also be weighed down by all its attendant social tensions, including a demoralized military that has felt the sting of defeat in Afghanistan and whose generals, really more-so politicians in uniform rather than men of the caliber of Patton or Abrams or Schwarzkopf, are forcibly trying to wokify it. My guess is that the US thus will be initially successful in your story (as seems to be from what you've implied with left-wing Brazilian parties cozying up to the invaders), overrunning Brazil with overwhelming shock-and-awe firepower and technological superiority, but then disastrously botch the occupation, as it all too often does. Possibly to the point of generating violent backlash at home, as detailed further below.

Now you almost certainly know a lot more about Brazilian society than I do (not a whole lot), so you be the judge if the Brazilian people are likely to accept insanely costly efforts to impose intersectional feminism, woke racism, etc. on their country backed by American bayonets and the dollar, perhaps to the extreme of sex & gender quotas in the occupation-backed Brazilian legislature and the denial of financial & material aid to communities which won't swallow the globohomo pill. Besides finding left-wing politicians to collaborate with them, the American policymakers choosing gangsters to prop up into becoming warlords and serve as additional muscle against any right-wing resistance is another possibility with plenty of precedent in Afghanistan, considering that's literally what happened all the time (nevermind that these criminal warlords would indulge in everything from opium farming & pushing to bacha bazi, or habitual boy-rape, which only served to further erode Afghan support for the occupation).

While the American politicians, bankers, generals and NGOs are doing their thing, note that the average grunts on the ground might be reluctant to push this stuff, if not outright a lot friendlier to the Brazilians than they're officially allowed to be. It's generally understood that the troops slant a lot further to the right than the American high command and DoD bureaucrats, as can be seen from the divide in their donations to Trump vs. their donations to Biden as late as 2020, despite the media's various attempts to smear Trump as someone more anti-military than the average user on r/socialism. Certainly the brass will probably try stacking the deck with recruitment campaigns targeted at woke college students while drumming out the patriots (the vax mandates are a recent tactic to accomplish that), but these make poor soldiers for pretty obvious reasons (low or no T, consumed by a victim complex and need to win the Oppression Olympics encouraged by academia and woke 'thought', prone to considering the US military an evil imperialist tool staffed by redneck rubes anyway) and I suspect you won't be seeing many of these guys in combat roles. More like, drone operators and base security at best, if they weren't sufficiently well-connected to find a cozy paper-pushing job somewhere already.

Consequently the more stereotypical image of a patriotic, God-fearing farmboy from Kansas or Georgia turned brave and reliable GI or Marine is liable to clash horribly with the new woke recruits, who in turn are likely if not certain to feel nothing but seething contempt for the first group. I doubt they will work together well, and the latter's enthusiasm for carrying out the most extreme globalist orders from the comfort of a fortified, air-conditioned FOB may very well disgust the former on the ground (who are the ones to see what actually happens when the pink-haired drone operator bombs a wedding and face the wrath of local parents when Washington's pet gangster-turned-politician in town kidnaps their kid for 'fun' or simply for pissing him off, as often happened in A-stan). You'd probably need a total collapse of morale and one too many atrocities coming to light if you want to spark off a right-wing mutiny among the ranks (akin to a reverse Vietnam), but divisions within the occupying power are never a good sign for the occupation.

By the way, those divisions aren't just going to be a headache for the Americans at the front. Political polarization between the domestic left and right hasn't created a gap between Americans so much as it has created a downright yawning chasm, a trend which has only gotten drastically worse over time and almost certainly will not let up any time soon. The US invading Brazil, a former ally, for - what? Not abiding by the dictates of the WEF or other globalist fronts? - is not likely to improve that, at all. At best the globalist establishment might get a short-lived polling bump if they justify it with a real or false-flag terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11 by Brazilian nationals or something, but looking at the absolute dearth of enthusiasm on the American right for a war in Ukraine right now, even that seems unlikely. The economy is also in the shitter as of OTL 2021, and a second Great Recession or even Depression (as seems pretty likely from where we're standing right now) is always a great vector for increased unrest at home. A progressive administration in the White House (of the sort that would attack Brazil for turning against globalism in the first place) trying to go full mask-off and go after the guns, kids, etc. of the 'reactionary chuds' at home between an unpopular war and economic meltdown is liable to spark off enough civil unrest to force them to withdraw from Brazil, at least partially, since their ideologically loyal woke brigades would be needed to keep themselves afloat at home: thereby compromising, or even potentially ending, the occupation.

Last of all: as a Canadian, I can tell you that if the US sneezes, we come down with the cold, and when they have the cold we'll have pneumonia. In other words, if the US is in the throes of a major backlash against woke globalism, we'll be dealing with the same thing in Canadian conditions, as we tend to follow American trends. (The reverse, as you can see with the Freedom Convoy inspiring copycats in America and beyond today, is much appreciated in my eyes but admittedly a historical anomaly) Let's say domestic tensions are boiling over and the conservative 'flyover states' are threatening to (or actually already trying) to secede or overthrow a globalist-controlled federal government they no longer deem even remotely legitimate, as in the 'domestic concerns force the US to draw down or end its Brazilian occupation' scenario above. If it gets bad enough that bullets start flying you will almost certainly see our Prairie provinces, especially Alberta (which is both our most conservative province and the one with the biggest bone to pick with Ottawa), join them, along with British Columbia's interior (far more conservative than Vancouver) and large parts of rural Ontario, while Quebec makes its own play for secession yet again. Conversely, if Trudeau or a Trudeau-aligned successor is still Prime Minister then, then what remains of the Canadian government will attach itself to the cause of the globalist forces in America until the bitter end.

...well, that screed turned out to be a fair bit longer than I first intended. Regardless, I hope it was helpful :)
