Also apparently Isis wants to go visit Earth and both she and Yu want dogs

Isis is your rich party girl turned soccer mom. If it wasn't obvious by her lamenting that her kids needed more beatings and how she interacted with Commandant cleavage.

Yu I wanted to portray as he was in the show. This pragmatic, ancient and eternally annoyed ruler. He's more of an isolationist and isn't happy that he has to get involved to contain his brother in laws idiocy and thinks Horus is a retard.

I'm thinking of having him eventually be the first System Lord to recognize the Tau'ri diplomatically because he doesn't have any of his big brothers baggage about them and figures "that scheming asshole Ba'al and Hathor are probably already playing games with their heads, May as well get some dogs and burritos out of the deal and try and contain their idiocy."

Either him or Amaterasu.

Yu's anger towards Jack will be less over Ra's death and more that he kicked up a hornets nest.

So I'm unsure how that will go.

There were no dogs when they were last on Earth. There were domesticated wolves. Dogs will come as a surprise to them. But they want Wolves.

Yeah they would want wolves but if you showed Ba'al a bunch of dog breeds he would probably try and create some unholy fusion of a blood hound and a stealth detector. :ROFLMAO:

The system Lords enhanced a lot of the animals they took off world. For various reasons', they would probably want to do the same with wolves/Dogs.

Think the Kalebs from Starship Troopers but with low functioning Goa'uld sharing consciousness with them.

Ah I love the smell of missile spam in the morning
I still suspect that one of the things Earth will be able to export on a massive scale will be its cooking and cuisine and the ingredients that make them.

Also in a more satirical form of thing. Isis upon seeing her first collie or golden retriever. I will love him and pet him and name him George

In theory, since this is a more combined Stargate command.

A fleet composition would be less hideous bricks with engines and loads of fighters and more. Carriers, destroyers, missile ships etc? Like a more versatile fleet?

A diverse fleet is far more capable and far more flexible than one made up of a few designs. For example with a diverse fleet there wouldn't be a need to tie down a warship doing cargo runs to Pegasus something it's not optimized at all for.

Captured Ha'taks would be really useful though since you have the hull volume for all sorts of additional systems and features especially if you fill in the hole in the middle where they land and replace that with more conventional gear

Whit the proviso that you dismantle one to fully study/understand the tech.

Oh yeah no cargo ships are a must and I think they'll get pushed for when and if the Goa'uld let them use the hyperspace relays.

Right now I have an idea for battleship types, missile ships/sensor tech filled ships, repair ships and carriers and some kind of easily constructed patrol ships for their colonies and the earth.

the first four built will probably be a mix of that

That might be feasible after serpent song. I was thinking of having them take a hatak a prize.

Will you take a Battlestar based design?

The Goa'uld are going to flail so hard seeing something like the Galactica again.

Jaffa consider it an attack on civilization itself to build unattractive ships :ROFLMAO:

On the plus side the Naquadah on Abydos is so efficient all they have to do to get a couple megaton explosion out of the stuff without a nuke is enough conventional explosives to fuck up half a city block.

So countering the disparity in shield and armor should be a bit easier than it was in the show...plus I'll have a few plot twists regarding Area 51 down the line.

I do plan for the events of the season one finale to happen...As Trump pointed out "Yeah going to all that trouble invading earth during a civil war would be fucking retarded, but this Apophis guy sounds like a lunatic."

@bullethead Caught it, Apophis won't be able to throw a full, properly manned and equipped armada at earth and just slag the planet because of the Furling/fyryans earth salting both in eons passed and against the Goa'uld. Plus he'll be busy fighting everyone. So he'll likely send a pair of Hatak's and their version of an ISD with the purpose of pulverizing the planet...He may have more assets on "the ground" at whatever world he needs to take as a staging point for this though, but less for Earth and more because he'll want to hit the System Lords from multiple directions.

In that case time to build some USNC style ships.
Also to put it bluntly Goa'uld you'll have to suck it up about Battlestar based designs they're about the most efficient carrier/battleship hull you can build
