Boomer "Truth" not withstanding, his aid for the anti-Hitler forces in Europe wouldn't have been that necessary, given the disparity between Germany and the rast of the allies.

Britain had more and more capable aircraft than Germany, it had all of its dominions and colonies to rely on for production and raw materials and conscripts.

The USSR was larger and younger demographically, and it would have fought Hitler to a bloody stalemate and eventually pushed the German army back.

Of course, a friendly or at least trade promoting regime in the USA with it's vast manufacturing capacity and natural resources would have helped, but you don't need FDR for that.

And what I forgot to say, the USSR would have been bloodied a lot harder without US aid and might have been unable to take over eastern Europe.

IMHO in such a situation the pain falling on Germany would have forced them to take out Hitler and the top nazis, with the army probably taking over and purging them before suing for peace.
