Vikings colonised "Vinland" or managed to make more permanent colonies?

Presumably they sorta assimilate or intermingle or in some cases conquer or get along with various local tribes

Would they eventually have had wars with the Aztecs, Maya, Olmec and so on in South-Vinland?

How would interactions between them and Europeans go? Would they still likely carry their original faith? Or have a variation that's mixed in with the faiths of various local tribes?

In this scenario, no two mega plagues occur before and after Colombus arrives

And I will say this, go read Vinland Saga, they're finally actually getting to Vinland after all these years

1 - the local "tribes" - actually ONE, the Mikmak, on Vinland itself - numbered in the hundreds on an area the size of modern Hungary ... so, no interaction/no Mikmak influence on the Vinlanders;
2 - Mesoamerica is a continent away; with the disparity in population sizes "wars" between the two are not possible. Considering the climate the population of Vinland would be in the lower five digits;
3 - very hands off association with the Kingdom of Norway then Denmark;
4 - same as Greenland and Iceland they go Christian;

Look at how passive the Greenland Norse were. Instead of pulling up sticks and moving to "Woodland" where the trees were, they stuck to their semi-tundra of Greenland and once in a while nipped across the Baffin Strait to chop wood on the other side.
So the Norse might stick to the coast, hence they and the Mikmak may well live side by side for centuries with minimal contact.

Greenland Norse remained passive,becouse they have no any good land to colonize.
Vinland would no go inland,as you say,but if they sail South they would meet better lands.Once it is knews,people from Vinland,Grenland and Iceland start going and settle there.

In OTL,Denmark send ships in 14th century to look for people from Greenland which go South and vanished - now,they would found norse settlements near OTL New York,and told about that their King.
Since there were no rich states to conqer,we would have settlements on eastern shore of North America nominally belonging to Denmark.Vatican would knew about that and send few missionaries,maybe some monks.
But that is all,unless they found some rich city in Mexico nobody in Europe would care about them.

There are easy to find copper and tin deposites in Canada,and local indians even made copper knives.If vikings found them,they could made bronze.But - that would not made them rich.

But there is one big effect,which must occur - some plague eventually would get to America,and kill 50-90 % of population.
That would be change - no big cyvilisation would survive,and nobody in Europe would become rich thanks to conqering them.
