Looking over the log, it appears the XF_Session_activity index has been filled a few times over the past days. This is likely connected to all the "guests" we've had. It could be a new web bot just got deployed, or could be a form of DOS attack.

We are still working on finding a solution. The main problem is that none of us are MySQL DBAs, so we are having to teach ourselves some obtuse commands as we attempt to fix this without rolling back the forum.

Hm, every time I post currently, I'm told there has been a server error, but when I refresh, everything has posted correctly. I generally operate through the brave browser, and haven't tried other browsers yet to see if its something specific on my end, but figured I'd let people know. Started occuring I believe this week, and its reached the point I figured it was worth mentioning.

This is specifically the error message I get:

Oops! We ran into some problems.
A server error occurred. Please try again later.

this popped up when I posted the above original post, and I've edited it in after the fact.

By the looks of it software update fucked something up. So the admins have the shit sandwich option of either rolling the forum who knows how far back, or learn the intricacies of the forum software drudgery and start manually poking the code to find the offending bit - possibly having to roll the forum who knows how far back anyway.

This is the same for everyone it seems.

Just hit post and refresh. If your editing a post just click saving the changes twice.

True we are working on it, keep in mind this isn't a problem money can be thrown at and resolved even if we hired a professional, they would still have to go everything with a fine comb.

Also an important note: When you report, and press the report button, it doesn't currently appear like the report went through or that anything happened, but it does, and we see them on the backend.
