I would add Taiwan,but not Singapoore.And,i think,it is matter of cyvilisation.If people are treated as persons with some right,not merely part of something bigger,and take the same morality for all people/stealing from other trine as bad as from my tribe/

If it's Catholic nations only, what about Protestants if they are not western what are they? Also what about Greece it's not Catholic, but it is literally the birthplace of Western Civilization. The first conflict between west and east was Greece vs Persia after all.

I just have to disagree I mean Japan is the land of the rising sun it's the most eastern nation there is. They are allied with the west aka American global order, but they have their own culture.

Why these Asian nations are Western when they are not even Christian let alone Catholic?
And most Eastern nations are more collectivist than the west.

On the European continent, 'the west' stops at Russia. The Russian people have one foot in the east and one foot in the west; they are their own thing. Hence their ability to adopt valuable parts of western civilization and maintain them, when so many try and fail, something obvious in the arts. Russians as a people certainly cannot be considered uncultured.

Hence, also, their ability to be as calculating and pragmatic as the Eastern peoples.

In the past when the West was great and the East sucked, Russia looked to the west. Today, I think most of them would agree that they are their own people first.

I’m pretty sure France won’t let you claim benefits for more than one wife they only allow people even Muslims to marry one woman. The Muslims can call the other women they live with wives but the state and France’s people don’t recognize it. As far as they are concerned any woman you have relations with except your wife is just a mistress.

Absurd. France and Sweden banned polygamy and will arrest you for it. Your absurd argument about Israel does nothing, sicne the Yankees also had seperate categories for Blacks and Whites back in the old days. Japan has their own civilization like the French adn Germans do, but it is still a subset of the West.
