Philosophy Why I can't stand collectivism: AKA the truth behind the horseshoe theory

My culture is gone my hobbies are burning and I'm surrounded by two sides who want nothing to do with people like me and would frankly rather see people like me gone. All I have left is my small circle of friends and a means to possibly defend myself in case of a home invasion. As far as I'm concerned I already lost, as much as I try to fight it part of me is just waiting for someone to finish the job. The rest of me just wants to have some peace and quite till the inevitable firing squads happen. I'm tired. I'm tired of the noise, tired of the rhetoric, I'm just tired.

American (assuming here) culture had in no way died get out of cities. Hell dude I went to state funded fireworks last week. It's seriously only crazy in specific urban areas. Calm your tits and move

mostly talking about geek culture and the arts. Comics are dead movies are dead video games are dead sci-fi music, and people are shouting with glee about it.

Also I don't live in the cities, but even in the non cities it' spreading. Guns and ammunitions are flying off the shelves, people are growing stir-crazy

TBF for you rurals, these guys have done things before like invade and harass farms and even steal animals

All while going on about being environment and animal friendly

Hell, in Canada, I think there was a small town that suddenly got lots of BLM “Protestors” popping up and calling them white supremacists and such

Sounds like a reverse of the usual poor people move into the big cities for job opportunities thing I learned in college

As the cities get poorer, the people there move to the rurals, they will probably either make em crap like the cities or blend in and try building more economic bases or power

Yeah, though gotta admit, I think the reason they failed way more was they were merely on Stage One of Censorship

You can't show/say/depict the following things

SJW's are on Stage Two. You HAVE to show/say/depict the following things.....also it's popularity contest within the "industry" itself and some people can get away with things more than others. Like how The Last of Us 2 has that sex scene with Abby being shown but censoring much of Japan's stuff.....yeah to begin with Abby looks like a dude so nothing fanservicey there but it shows.

They also are semi-inconsistent on said censorship given that there's still fanservice or"sexist" outfits shown like with Gwenpool, Harley Quinn and Psylocke got her leotard back....yeah basically you can getaway with things depending on your alignment

The Far Left of today unlike those Right Wingers of the 80s/90s were on the narrative of "Fuck The Man" and being "rebellious" AF even before the 2010s....basically they at the very least tried pretending they were PART of the hobby unlike the guys who simply censor with Stage1

I agree with you there to an extent. The moral panic christians only got to the point where they were telling people what not to say whereas the SJWs are practicing compelled speech. But I think this situation is far more dangerous. One could say that one of the reasons we are in our current predicament or one of the early events that lead to where we are was a snap back against the moral christians. The backlash against that has lead us to where we are now and then kept on going and going. I've always found Newtons law "every action has an equal and opposite reaction" to be true in a societal sense too. I think the snap back against the SJWs that we will see will be severe and extreme, very likely it will go too far. The question is: will the people who lead this snap back be right-wing Individualists or just a different breed of left-wing collectivists like the Nazis.

But I think this situation is far more dangerous. One could say that one of the reasons we are in our current predicament or one of the early events that lead to where we are was a snap back against the moral christians. I think we might get both, there are Lefties and Moderates and Centrists who decided to vote for Donald Trump and got disavowed by the Far Left

At the same time, a number of people’s minds aren’t exactly flexible and they may just enthusiastically move onto another extreme, mostly because they never cared about who they said they were supporting to begin with

Hell, these new Religious Right or Social Conservative types maybe the ones to step up against Homeschooling after the Far Left dies out, so that they can take control of people’s curriculum again

Because “small government” is STILL government

They may even try banning online knowledge of sexual reproduction
