I don't like the possibility of people being able to stop a car electronically, besides the obvious abuse by the police and the moral questions it causes, what's to stop a stalker or somebody who has been cassing you for a robbery or worse decides to use the tech to kill your engine suddenly in a remote place with no one around?Law Will Install Kill Switches In All New Cars (msn.com)
So kill switches in all new cars? Who thought this was a good idea? Also, it will determine what 'impaired' driving is. Yeah, I forsee the car companies being sued over this especially once the thing is hacked.
What's to stop businesses such as auto shops from hacking into this tech and shutting a car down every once and awhile for 'expensive repairs' when the money gets low?
It just seems another way for the powerful to control the powerless in the name of safety.
