...except, apparently TFA didn't ACTUALLY kill Hyperspace being stopped by planetary grav wells(apparently the book said it was more moon sized?) so it's not really MAD since you still can't blow up planets with a hyperspace impactor, so it just kills fleet battles. And the thing is, What stops Pirates from doing it to get rid of enforcement fleets? And if Pirates using Hyperspace Impactors is why the Republic had such a piracy problem why was it only a problem in the Outer Rim? And how did the Empire manage to reasonably successfully crack down on it with big ships that should be super vuilnerable to that sort of thing?
Like, there's a reason the big fear is some rando terrorist group getting ahold of a nuclear device, they don't HAVE to respect MAD. Same for Pirates, for that matter what about Resistance Cells that were more like Terrorists? For that matter what about the Rebel Alliance? They lose a straight forward fight ANYWAY, they only stay alive via secrecy ANYWAY, why WOULDN'T they use Hyperspace Impactors earlier?
Of course, that ALSO is still ignoring that shields that can block FTL collisions+weapons that can breach those shields=Star Wars Ships are absurdly OP and TIE fighters are mini Death Stars.
