That's unfortunate. I think it would have made things more interesting if you could.
Wait, they weren't on the ship?I don't see a confirmation of this from Devs or anything, so I'm chalking this up to being an amazing rumor.

The only class that can betray their faction is the Imperial Agent. It's also the best written of the class stories. My favorites are the Warrior and the Inquisitor though. My first character was a warrior and the story really makes you feel like an unstoppable juggernaut.
I'm just trying to imagine what a Pure Sith Light-Side SW would be viewed like if they actually managed to defect to the Jedi.Supposedly the new expansion will let you do this, but you're still aligned to your class's faction mechanically. That is, Republic and Imperial characters can become "saboteurs", working for the other side secretly to destroy their own faction, and you'll get story choices for this.
Naturally, if I resume playing, my BH and IA will be Saboteurs.

Not all that different from Lord Praven, I suspect. While it's more common for Jedi to fall to the Dark Side than it is for Sith to embrace the Light Side, both happen with some frequency. You also have weirdos like Kel'eth Ur who created their own version of Sith philosophy based on the Light Side.I'm just trying to imagine what a Pure Sith Light-Side SW would be viewed like if they actually managed to defect to the Jedi.

Are they going to bringmy favorite female jedi knight companion? Please ease please! I miss her!
They haven't been on the ship since the Knights of the Fallen Empire (KotFE) expansion (4.0).
Yes, in the new expansion, actually starting from the content that was released with 5.10 (Jedi Under Siege) there are four paths: Two Loyalist and Two Saboteurs. Going forward that's how it looks. My highest level toons are loyalists so I can't tell you how Saboteurs will work, but there are videos of the cutscene content on youtube if you want to be spoiled.
If what is in the datamine is accurate, yes. Onslaught will bring her back. There was a hidden mission recently released where two Mysterious people were spying on the Odessen base, who obviously looked like Scourge and Kira. And they have been datamined to be on Mek-Sha and Corellia, in what appears to be interwoven in the story (like how Doc and Nadia were interwoven into the Jedi Under Siege update). Also spotted is the Consular's companion, Tharan Cedrix. This leaves only Zenith who hasn't been seen/returned in some case. Which is odd because his VA is the same one who does Theron Shan (Troy Baker)
I'm looking forward to it too. My Jedi needs her best winglady to sass everyone.
