This is hardly surprising
eh? That’s not surprising. Women are attracted to strength. And at a primal level, that includes violence. In ancient times the best men were the ones that cracked skulls. And left bodies in their wake. Not only were they protectors of their women, their martial and physical prowess meant that they had good genes, women are attracted to that.
The problem is while those traits may have been beneficial in the Bronze Age or Stone Age-humans don’t live in that world anymore. At least not on the surface.
Our ingrained biology, and deep primal behavior hasn’t changed to fit our current post industrial ultra comfortable civilization.
It’s an issue of a disconnect-biology and civilization that don’t fit. Because the former isn’t bound to the latter, while the former doesn’t change as fast as the latter.
Physical strength will always be a trait that will attract women. Yet, I've found that a modicum of intelligence, self-respect, and a display of inner strength does wonders with the opposite sex. Those traits, after all, helped men survive and reproduce in the past as well.
