Basically, there was this really beautiful woman (IIRC she also did some modelling at least part-time) who was friends with the OP in college: a lot of blokes joined the college courses (namely the high-gear business degree she was going for) she was in, just to try to get to know her in the hopes of dating her.
When it came out she "swung both ways", girls joined the course in hopes of dating her, too.
She ended up meeting a bloke she fell in love with, got serious with him, and ended up marrying him. She dropped out of college, became a housewife, and had 2.5 kids with him.
She did it because it made her happy. She openly said that she felt fulfilled and being a wife/mother was what she wanted.
People quickly turned and shit on her for either dropping out of being a businesswoman (in their eyes she gave up on being a "strong, independent woman/Boss Babe to be a housewife") or because she dated and settled down with a man, ("she's bisexual! Why is she dating a man!" et cetera) instead of being in a relationship with a woman like she had no choice but to.
The vitriol towards her for her life-choices was honestly quite horrifying... I guess I can see why now. She made all the "wrong choices" in various people's eyes.
