So through the channel Vlogging Through History I came upon (or rather re-encountered) the Youtube Channel Useful Charts. Back when I used to watch some Useful Charts videos it was on the 'family tree/genealogy' of famous lines of royalty or Greek mythology or something but now he's charting a lot of interesting new stuff.
Over the past few months or so he's tackled topics relating to Christianity pretty heavily with a few different video series.
The most interesting one to me so far (and the latest one) is this eight video series Christian Denominations Family Tree.
Episode 1: Christian Origins & Early Church Schisms
Episode 2: Roman Catholics & Eastern Orthodox
Episode 3: Anglicans, Lutherans & Reformed
Episode 4: Anabaptists & Quakers
Episode 5: Baptists & Methodists
Episode 6: Mormons, Adventists & Jehovah's Witnesses
Episode 7: Pentecostals & Charismatics
Episode 8: Miscellaneous Groups (covers Univeralism, LGBTQIA+ as well as Chinese, Korean, African, and various Latin American denominations etc)
Each of these episodes by the way covers A LOT MORE then just the denominations mentioned in the title and actually has a bit of a 'generational' passage of time IMHO as Christianity develops.
He's also done a seven video series on 'Who Wrote the Bible'
Episode 1: The Torah
Episode 2: The Prophets
Episode 3: The Writings
Episode 4: The Apocrypha
The First Four Episodes Pertain to the Jewish Bible or Christian Old Testament
Episode 5: The Gospels and Acts
Episode 6: The Epistles
Episode 7: Daniel & Revelation
He's also done a six video series on 'Bible Genealogy.' This is his oldest series of the three.
Episode 1: Which Bible Characters are Historical?
Episode 2: From Adam to David
Episode 3: Kings of Israel and Judah
Episode 4: Meccabees & King Herod Family Tree
Episode 5: Genealogy of Jesus
Episode 6: Responding to Comments (On this series)
He also recently did a video titled Biblical Family Tree: From Adam & Eve to Roman Times
He's done many more religious videos but for other ones pertaining to Christianity and thus this topic here are two more standalone videos.
English Bible Translations Family Tree
And of course:
Bible Chronology
Just FYI the YouTuber who made these videos, Matt Baker was a member of the non-Nicene Adventist Sect Church of God growing up, then became an atheist, before converting to Judaism.
