Carrot of Truth
War is Peace
This looks like generic post apocalyptic tv series with Bethesda Fallout aesthetics. Basically the peak of dog shit.

I mean the Vault design in the show alone looks very Bethesda obviously. And of course Bethesda aesthetics will shine more then Interplays but I do feel that the general art style is just overstated in many cases.
I do hope we get less Fallout 4 onward military gear art designs at the very least.
Honestly I thought the trailer was fine for the most part. I thought I'd see more overt cringe. My only real hangup is the design of the Ghouls but I can live with that if the rest is still not cringe.
And while I never saw Westworld it seems like it follows all of those scifi shows in having a really strong first season before falling off in quality and just wheezing along until it reaches a natural death in the fourth or fifth season. Lost. Mandalorian. Battlestar Galactica etc.
With all that said I'd be more then happy getting a great first season of Fallout.
That is suppose to be the west coast 10 years after Fallout 4, It looks like they are finally retconning (ruining) everything now.
Dude, I know Amazon doesn't have a reliable history concerning adaptions but let's wait for it actually to come out before going into a panic. If it's bad, it's bad, if it's not, it's not.
In its defense playing devil's advocate the 'West Coast' is a broad term geographically and given we only see it in Fallout and Fallout 2 in pixelated graphics I don't think there will ever be a world were translating that to the live action screen will satisfy everyone.
Furthermore, not every possible abandoned place or settlement was shown in Fallout due to game limitations the scale of California for example is grossly out of scale, even moreso in Fallout 2 where parts of Nevada and Oregon are present on the map.
So, saying 'this is the west coast' doesn't mean anything as despite the NCR being the most sizeable and well off of the Post Great War Nations in the Wasteland it still exists in said Wasteland and I doubt every section of it has truly faded, most of the population probably still lives in safe areas like Shady Sands, Vault City, and Redding while there are still danger zones present in former pre-war urban centers in highly radiated or formerly high radiated areas.
I didn't know that. But truthfully so what? It could be a flashback, are we not after all shown a picture of the city being nuked at the start of the great war in the trailer, is that not a possibility? The trailer literally shows LA aka the Boneyard in a desolate state like the bombs just went off and rubble everywhere.

Amazons Boomer Action Entertainment tends to be a lot better with the stuff it's done with Chris Pratt in Terminal List and with Teacher and the very unfaithful Jack Ryan series and it's success as well as things like The Grand Tour and Clarksons Farm.
Plus stuff like The Boys and Invincible. The Boys is vastly superior to the original comics IMHO and while there are shifts from the original material it's vastly superior.
Whether Fallout is good shouldn't be dependent on a strict adaption of the lore but if it uses it to make a good show on its own merits. But it should absolutely be separate from the video game canon and continuity regardless.
Except Bethesda has said the show will be canon.Amazons Boomer Action Entertainment tends to be a lot better with the stuff it's done with Chris Pratt in Terminal List and with Teacher and the very unfaithful Jack Ryan series and it's success as well as things like The Grand Tour and Clarksons Farm.

So? If the T.V. show goes bad they will just forget about it and go back on their word, it's not like they haven't changed or messed with canon before this is Bethesda you are talking about their own writers forget and disregard their own cannons on occasion look at the conflicting info between 3, 4, and 76.The problem is that Bethesda is claiming that the show will be considered cannon.
>Implying Amazon of all companies should dictate what is and isn't canonJust a heads up the Amazon Prime TV show Fallout looks like it's going to be providing some interesting proof and feats for the Fallout verse
From Drug Resistance feats to Power armor on screen no selling rifle round calibers (Finally debunking the notion that power armor can't shrugg off rifle caliber rounds) and other cool feats.
