"Nooooo you can't censor my mangarinos! You're only supposed to ban books by evil far righters and religious people! We're safe damnitt!"
not really. Anime and manga are hated by SJW's. They always complain about how problematic everything is.

So you hate anime and manga :-( ?And nothing of value was lost.
So you hate anime and manga :-( ?
we all are frenNot really, I'm just trolling.
I wouldn't give a shit if Amazon actually bothered to put out the list of standards stuff has to adhere to if it's going to be sold on their site, and told the publishers of the stuff that got pulled exactly what got it delisted. Doing this random "we'll just purge shit that goes against our secret internal list of bad things" crap is total SB mod vagueness bullshit, and shouldn't be tolerated at all.
Also, this fucking sucks because it might force all light novels and manga onto Bookwalker, which is a service with shit DRM that hasn't been cracked yet.
A clash between American and Japanese cultural norms was always inevitable. This isn't even about leftists censorship. Nearly any American mainstream political group would have a problem with a lot of animes involving children.
Eh, I think the Lefties would be rather inconsistent about that

Hell, they may embrace actual pedos soon
Desmond is NOT Trap Material....he's also emaciated AF
The only reason Desmond is Amazing hasn't been shut down is because people are afraid of being called out as homophobic if they point out the more suspect stuff, like the fact that Desmond stripped at a gay stripclub. [Not to the point of being naked, to be clear, but at that point I really don't think it matters.]
Two Stages of Censorship, you can't be against it and now you must support and embrace it.
What actual LGBT have to say in-regards to Desmond won't matter to all the Identity Politics types
Rephrase this in English please, specifically the first sentence.
Which when you think about it is absolutely damn crazy. Where's HUAC when we actually need it?*le sigh*
At the rate things are going, conservative democracies like what we see in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore are going to be more free in some ways compared to 'liberal' democracies like the USA and Western Europe.

Japan’s slowly being infiltrated now, the challenge for SJWs is to create that class of guys who are obsessed with making their stuff “relevant” as possible and look down on most of entertainment
I bet Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli will be used as one of many entry points
They can only go so far, given the generally social conservative bent of the Japanese public and government alike. Also, Japanese ethnic nationalism is a massive and virtually-impassable obstacle to overcome for the same kind of progressive madness as what's happening in the West to take hold in Japan.
If anything, the trend is in the opposite direction, as evidenced by so many anime these days involving a male MC having to handle a harem of interested female characters. More serious works also hint at this conservative, right-leaning trend of Japanese audiences. In Gundam UC, despite being designated villains, the Principality of Zeon and its successor movements enjoy a dedicated fanbase, and even the writers and producers portray them as Noble Demons as opposed to Imperial Japan IN SPACE. The Earth Federation is pretty much a subversion of democracy, heroic only because the protagonists fight under its banner and even then they do so while struggling against the crushing weight of the corrupt oligarchy ruling the Federation, and in fact, side works and background material indicate that Zeon winning the One Year War would have resulted in a better long-term outcome for the UC as opposed to the historic Federation victory, as the Earth Sphere only stagnated for over a century before finally collapsing in on itself after the events of Victory Gundam.
In Code Geass it's more of the same. The Britannian Empire conquers the democratic European Union followed by the corrupt Chinese Federation (and isn't that a massive no-no in the West), and while the Empire's corrupt aristocracy is eventually wiped out by a reformist, said reformist still leaves the Empire an idealized, enlightened despotism reigning over all of Humanity.
There's also the classic Legend of the Galactic Heroes, probably the best Japanese popular fiction that addresses the question of autocracy vs democracy. Yoshiki Tanaka doesn't actually come out fully on one side or another, but he does lean in favor of arguing that a functional autocracy is better than a dysfunctional democracy. That his example of the former is essentially the German Empire IN SPACE while the latter is represented by Vietnam War-era USA IN SPACE would never fly in the West. In Japan (and the internet), though?
