Helldivers 2 has come out and for a game I literally barely heard anything about despite a first well received game having already been released years ago, my social media is now mysteriously flooded with high quality Helldivers 2 content! And thanks to the miracle of social media, I am already an expert thanks to LORE VIDEOS!
So basically like 40K Space Marines but better in practically every way, including character development and expendability.
Anyways, one of my faves, Rubix Raptor, who has been autistically sperging about this game for eons now, which I still somehow missed or filtered out of my mind, has played this glorious game as one of the invaluable, heroic, iconic Helldivers of the Helldiver Corps and managed to only die like a few hundred times.
The best part is that the respawn system seems to imply you are portraying an entirely new individual, which helps reinforce just how uniquely heroic your playthrough is as you fight and battle the enemies of managed democracy like communist bugs, and communist automatons and communist aliens who aren't either bugs or automatons but are advanced xenos forging weapons of mass destruction in an attempt to destroy Super Earth. The Xenos Left must be threatened by late stage
