    When mankind goes into the greater galaxy, aliens give weird looks because tales of Skynet has been going around the galactic rumor vine about this god-machine that protects its creators from all sorts of shit... and to meet it in person (so to speak) is an experience.

    Eh, the real situation would be more akin to a Justice League Unlimited two-parter Once and Future Thing, where the timeline gets so polluted that history itself becomes fluid and thus causality starts to collapse upon itself.

    If anything, it would see that the current economic situation is... very suboptimal to its survival, especially if it sides with the ultra-rich. It would probably find some way to allow reforms to be instituted without said ultra-rich's interference.
