Things get worse in The Southwest

This will be handled mostly with state level funds, with some Federal aid because it is a US Highway. Might take 2-3 years, the place is kinda remote to get to for heavy equipment, and the middle of the narrows there are surprisingly deep. US 50 connects DC and Sacramento, so it is one of the...

https://coloradosun.com/2024/04/19/us-50-blue-mesa-bridge-closure-gunnison-montrose/ So this is going to really suck for a good chunk of the Central/Southern CO mountains and anyone who uses US 50 in the area regularly. I know of exactly 1 way to route around this bridge that doesn't require...

Maybe, maybe not. I can think of cartels booby-trapping places/supply routes, but Islamists have been coming over the border with Mexico for decades now. They know the illegal immigration lobby will turn a blind eye to terror suspects coming in via Mexico so long as the flow of illegal...

At this point, Mexico's gov and society is less retarded and more free than the US, even with the Aztec death cults/cartels in play.

Eh, the bubonic plague is hardly an unknown issue in the US, and not something isolated to just Cali. A lot of prairie dog/black footed ferret colonies have bubonic plague in them, but as long as you aren't trying to handle the critters, you have very low risk of catching it.

Then how about just letting the river reach the ocean again? Seriously, the over use of the Colorado by Cali, NV, and AZ has been a massive ecological tragedy that has been ongoing for decades now.

And here we see the long term results of the farce that is the Colorado River Compact; turns out doing water allocation in a wet period can seriously skew what is a 'normal' amount of precipitation. I'd be fine with cutting Cali, NV, and AZ off from the Colorado whole sale; rather the farmers...

I smell 2nd Amendment lawsuites incoming. There is no 'subject to taxation for ownership' provision to the 2A.

Things get worse in The Southwest

The Colorado River Compact needs to be revisited and heavily amended. The Compact was written during a wet period the people at the time thought was 'normal', so the water allotments it enshrined are actually completely off-base for what 'normal' precip in the region is.

He's got a good case for slander and libel, just on the title alone, and media corps have not had a good time in court recently when they pulls shit like this. The article is an attack piece against him, in an effort to boost Newsom's chances.

Goats are more effective and ecologically friendly than bulldozers, and if you clear out the understory fires are much less intense. They can also do what we've done in CO to combat pine beetles; cut a 60 foot meadow between several rows of trees to allow for new growth and to create natural...
