    Hokkaido - Ezo at that time, does not count as Japan at that time, IMO. Japan in the North Pacific Gyre stays isolated by geography and currents. But it is almost certain to make contact with misguided galleons (as such contact is 99% certain for the Hawaian Islands) and posibly cheerfully trade...
