    actually the up front cost thing is being solved with portable moble modular much smaller nuclear plants. Remember people have been working on this shit for 70 years, and the milatary stuff is making it over to the civilian sector.

    I think in the long run nuclear will be a thing. Quite simply put its a developed technology that more or less solves all of the worlds energy problems and woes and its only become better with time. Sooner or later a pragmatist is going to look at the super obvious solution and use it.
