If you're containing your politics (including the cross-site drama), then you've got an uneven pie chart, not a 50/50, which is the minimum of what most members want here.

You can't have both. Politics drives as many people away as it does bring them in. Keep the politics contained in one spot to let the rest of the website breathe and grow.

So with my point of view as an outsider here, I'll just say that if you want more people to join the site then keep all the Spacebattles bitching and other related communities in the thread already sitting in the NSFW section. Or even have one of the subscribers host their own private subforum...
