Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

Very nice :) Namewise I'd lean Vanguard, first of a new breed and a solid name. Warspite is always good as that ship just refused to die, Valiant strong too :)

Yeah, the ship is canon but a tougher design than that particular image, more and bigger guns :p If I recall the lore back when Earth was getting thrashed each of the great powers began building a super ship that would be used to evac the best and brightest from Earth designed to be strong...

I particularly enjoyed the Ra bit, always here for some mythic world building :)

Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

I liked it, it hits the notes of a folk saga but without artificially discarding or weakening the heroes. You just make the enemy a significant threat. Nice to see the wide variety is story direction and focus too, really is a canvas you can paint any genre on. Was a big strength of SG and...

Get well soon man, be embarrassing to let something like this keep you down :p

Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

It serves a purpose, to that end it doesn't matter too much if you take your time or write fairly long scenes so long as it all contributes to the bigger picture. You want to have learned or realised something at the end of a chapter, either about the plot, setting or characters, and in that...

Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

This story is broadening into its own mythos, which I am certainly on board with. One of the things B5 had was it mixed a sci fi setting with traditional stories, tales rooted in the classics and I can sense that here. Great stuff. But the highlight is still the character interactions and...

Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

Probably. You could get away using spacesuits I reckon as the delicate stuff like repairs and maintenance would be handled in the hanger, but you'd be talking current generation suits not those huge 70s style outfits :p At least thats how the chaps on SBY handle it with their flattops :)

It can work. Most sci fi carriers tend to borrow the exciting bit from real carriers, namely the dramatic launches. But you don't really need that, it can be an advantage if you want to get your craft accelerated to combat speeds or throw them out fast as alert fighters, but most of the time its...

Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

Took some time to catch up, always nice to find some updates. Never seen Farscape, have a general idea of it and I know SG picked up their actors but otherwise a mystery. That said I don't feel like I need to know the story there, its presented here with enough set up that I can follow along...

Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

Unleaded Vorlon, nice :) Enjoyed the new additions, again very immersive character work and imagery. Easy to picture it all unfolding which is very nifty. Tollan seem very insecure, they were in the original in my view, defined b their fears and errors, but these ones seem much nastier...

Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

It sounds a good plot and shows the sort of variety this setting lets you play with

Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

I could certainly imagine the origins of the Beowulf epic being the story of a warrior brotherhood hunting down a snake and her Unas Prime, in this setting you have created it would be an easy fit. I'd say go for it, no harm :)

That was a Man's film, a rare and valuable thing to preserve in this day and age

That is pretty metal, I mean I don't agree with lots of folk but I don't eat them. Definitely a good way to win debates :p

Stargate Through the Looking Glass and into Heaven.

I found the interaction natural and humane. It gave a bit more to Carter and how she is dealing with things, her lines and considerations within her job. These are people with titanic responsibility and its easy to assume their capabilities are equally vast to match, indeed it seems many they...
