Warhammer Warhammer General discussion thread: Now with 100% more Space Marines

Amazing Viz released one of their Tank Size Comparison videos but dealing with the Armored Fighting Vehicles of the 41st Millenium (and Warhammer Fantasy). Unsolicited corrections are in the comments!

Warhammer Warhammer General discussion thread: Now with 100% more Space Marines

Finally a Warhammer Gaming Video with a proper sense of scale accurate to the setting. :sneaky: 144,000 point Chaos Space Marine Army.

Here it is, Part One of Two. Covers the unholy Birth of Warhammer. So covers the work of Richard Halliwell, Rick Priestley, and Bryan Ansell and the development and release of Warhammer Fantasy Editions One and Two.

Article on it from the Wargamer website. https://www.wargamer.com/warhammer-bryan-ansell-obituary I need to look it up but several months ago some YouTuber did a history on the early days of Warhammer creation and publishing.

Cinematic Battle Between the Empire of Man and Warriors of Chaos in Warhammer Fantasy. Lotta cool moments in it, including some epic cavalry charges.

With the nature of the Warp, making Chaos an Anti-Imperium would always be problematic. Most interpretations of the Warp as being screwed up when it comes to time and the Warp being described as an ocean with currents, storms and tides and the like, with the figurative water replaced by literal...

Finished The Infinite and the Divine. It got better and better closer to the end. While the metaphysics and impressively immortal scale of the tale being told was very epic as a backdrop, the novel did become more interesting to me as my mammalian brain was drawn into the stronger...

If someone needs a New Years Resolution to stop publicly cooming everywhere... I mean I make lewd commentary rather frequently, but there's usually an attempted thrust at comedy or satire or something deeper. Not just sperging out on whatever perversions are addling my mind in that immediate...

I'm actually reading my second Warhammer 40K Omnibus/Novel dealio. It's a Necron book about the beautiful bromance between Chronomancer/Seer/Cryptek Orikan the Diviner and our favorite historian, the Archaeovist of the Solemnace Galleries Trazyn the Infinite. Due to a lack of proper Tomb Kings...

It's pretty weird. Their are dedicated resource worlds within the Eye of Terror and Immaterium etc but they're also called Daemon Worlds for a reason. And it's still the Warp where time and space act all weird and funky. Warhammer 40K already plays extremely loose with natural law, as well as...

Yeah I read that too. Also the Codices I have said it's usually a battery of them attached to the headquarters so I might just add a battery to the headquarters company.

And finally, lastly and leastly, Imperial Guard Artillery Regiment. During World War Two the average artillery brigade had between 25-70 guns so I decided to angle towards the larger number naturally. Originally it was three times the artillery and it make me go hmmm so I redid my math and...

Imperial Guard Armored Regiment I thought about going all tank but that seemed a bit much even if it is an Imperial Guard thing to go whole hog so to speak, so I did a variation of the US Armored Brigade and tried with a two-thirds tanks, one third infantry type of deal. So there's six tank...

Yeah I appreciate it. Almost finished with the Armored one but I wanted to add Enginseers and other tech-adepts to it since it makes more sense. I'll be doing a fanon artillery regiment next and then maybe my quest for OOB's to use in Versus matches will be complete.

Oh yeah... I'm scribbling up an Armored and Artillery Regiment as well, its easier now with the Infantry one out of the way. :P

Yeah I saw that in the older Codex. I prefer using the squad format instead of platoon. And ignoring the company sized battalion and going with the battalion. Plus I wanted to stick to the idea of one Commissar and other special types per regiment. I know there's Junior Commissars and such as...

Here's my rough prototype of a "Light" Infantry Imperial Guard Regiment. The idea is a baseline (lol as if that's a thing) Imperial Guard infantry regiment. Originally I gave each squad vehicles but upon learning about the footness of them all, removed the Chimera's and just added a handful...
