The first one is obviously a Star Destroyer. The second one is actually pretty interesting. There's a lot of details that don't make sense, but the wraparound bridge and the shape of the hull is very very nice. If you cleaned that up, you could have a kick-ass cover for a science fiction novel.

We need to launch a mission to intercept it and punt it back the way it came. I've seen enough cosmic horror to know how this turns out.

Makes sense. The desert is on the other side of the mountains from the vortex, so the weather is blowing in that direction. The only other thing that comes to mind is that "The Black Boot" sounds like Mordor crossed with Italy.

I love your space maps. How different are those from the fantasy world maps? Do you need more references for the space stations and such?
