Boomstick's and shooty shooty bang bang's - The GUN Thread!

I have a Sig P365, it's my EDC. Would recommend in general. I found that my hands were a bit large for the gun (on the flush mags one of my pinkies wouldn't be on it or would barely be on it) which I remedied by getting the 12 round extended mags, which brings the grip up to the length of the...

Going to go with a 357 for that reason, lol. Going to get my brother his first gun for his birthday, so I want something that he can actually get ammo for.

Henry, Winchester, or someone else for a lever gun? Heard Marlin’s QC and customer service has gone downhill.

Can't you guys get some stuff, at least? A bolt-action rifle is better than no gun.

Is that polygonal rifling or something else?

Hilariously that actually exists, the Franklin Armory Reformation.

Anyone have any thoughts on the FRT-15 trigger? Worth getting?

IMO getting 10+1 in a microcompact 9mm is also pretty good. Although the Hellcat does the same thing.

I have a Ruger AR-556 (it looks like the MPR is that + magpul furniture). It's a good gun, would recommend.

Decent ARs used to be super cheap. Not as much right now.

For your first gun I'd just go AR for a rifle or a polymer striker fired pistol (glock is the prototypical one here, but the SIG 365 and Springfield Hellcat r/n have an advantage when it comes to capacity in a subcompact IIRC). Yes, they're what everyone else has got... but there's a reason...

It's apparently originally a comic made by a liberal, reused ironically.

I've been thinking "I should get body armor" for a while now and putting it off because I hate spending money, and also I don't really know where to start looking. Any suggestions on where to start? Looking for something decent in level II or IIIA that I can wear under a jacket or something...

I got the 300 blackout b/c I want to put a suppressor on a gun I can use for home defense, and if I'm going to have a suppressor I want to be able to shoot subsonic with it, but I wouldn't use subsonic rounds in any situation where my life depended on it.

Huh, on that same topic though I found this though, which seems really cool. The company seems a bit libertarian meme-y, so I'm a bit suspect, but they've got video and legal 9mm that beats 3A would be a total game changer. And at $2/round it's cheaper than most other 9mm! 😁 On a somewhat...

IIIA is rated to stop 0.357 sig and 44 magnum. While I have no experience with tokarev, I found this on MAC. The Ruger-57 is fairly cheap, but from what I've read needs steel core ammunition to defeat IIIA body armor, and even that's iffy. You could just go more, and step up to a .454 or...
