@Terthna With how people were starting to go nuts in there? A 24 hour time out is appropriate. Right now I am too angry to be entirely rational in regards to moderating that forum, so simply taking it offline for a day is the least harm I could do.

Mostly what Fallout said. it's the holidays, I'm spending time with family, dealing with the transition, etc. I briefly considered keeping them closed, but I want them open, I want discussion, but I want it civil and productive.

I intend to reopen them but with very low tolerance for derails, trolling, and such after the New Years. Moderators at that time will be instructed to pay close attention, and I'll be personally monitoring the threads closely. But that will be after New Years.
