Talking animals, such a deep iconic part of Fallout that you can't imagine it without them

Chosen One canonically had help from Granite and his dudes vs Horrigan.

Indeed! It's just Emil's headcanonerino apparently. Despite Nate being written under that assumption by Bethesda and Emil being the head writer for FO4. So basically it's canon. but you can hc otherwise lol.

As I said earlier: As to the tanker, what's more hilarious is that they could have flawlessly won just by putting the FOB it needs to dock ... on the Oil Rig. There was no reason not to.

Why God why? They had a perfectly good G3/CETME ripoff w/ the R91, now they do this?

The plot of FO2 was literally "things the devs found cool", right down to the opening cutscene being the Enclave gunning down rando Vault Dwellers for no reason. The tone was terrible too, with this dark plot centred on racism and genocide ... having as its main villains a parody of both Nixon...

It's a game mechanic - you start getting Enclave armour in FO3 around the midgame, whereas the T51 is a unique piece of gear you get by doing a bonus dungeon - notably the Hellfire armour in Broken Steel, a DLC item, is directly comparable to the ingame T51 while having better stat boosts. FNV...

Something like Men of War/Call To Arms? Personally the problem is that the factions just haven't redeveloped enough to be able to maintain large modern-style armies. I had to have a 50 year timeskip to justify the development of those things in my own work, f'rinstance.

The NV one is good, but not really as ambitious as the FO4 one which is basically an attempt to do a DLC-sized thing for the Enclave. Basically you make up with the NCR and fight unreconstructed genocidal types. I haven't played any of the FO3 Enclave mods.

What there is up is quite good, but following the Enclave questline makes you hostile to the BOS and you should do it after progressing the storyline to the Prydwen's arrival or some stuff won't make sense. Also it's incomplete right now, but as I said, what's there is good.

Frontier has a lot of the same issues but topped off with a bad main questline and a hyper-serious tone that sounds like it's gonna cut itself on all its edge. At least Thuggysmurf isn't taking itself too seriously. Well, uh to me, post-Beth FO is more of a ruined 20s-60s aesthetic - from the...

Too similar to FO4, more's the pity. It would have been nice if that game's prologue had been a bit more drawn out, similar to the Vault 101 sequence in FO3. Have some basic movement tutorials, go to a shooting range or get attacked by criminals for combat tutorial, etc. (it would also have been...
