    Fair enough. The problem is that the map shows, as part of the German Confederation... Belgian Luxemburg, which was partitioned away back in 1839. The actual state of Luxemburg isn't even recognised on the map, and is simply coloured as part of Prussia.

    Thanks! Ah, that's rifht, of course-- I mixed up the Italian unification wars! I meant that the ATL North German Federation would be less Prussia-dominated than the OTL North German Confederation, on the basis that A) Bismarck isn't in charge to unofficially vest all power in Prussia, and B)...
