IIRC the EUSA has some, and they're supposed to be pretty efficient at destruction.

OK, and that will work...until you just can't. You run out of bullets, or gas, or armor, or just energy, and your troops simply start taking too long to make the charge...or get to cover...or sight in the enemy. Being on the attack take SO much more out of the combatant then staying in cover...

Big issue with large artillery parks like what the NCR is using...You can really screw with your own fires...by launching so much in such a tight area. Additionally, any return fire will likely hit something important. There's so much there that secondary explosions will likely also claim...

Fallout The Eagle And The Bear [Fallout AU]

I can't imagine the artillery park mentioned early on is likely to survive. If it can range targets...every firefinder radar knows EXACTLY where all those shots came from, and as densely packed as they are...that's just crying out for massive destruction.

I was going to wait to read the rest of the maifesto.

But he's the GENIUS IN THE ROOM! There's no one smarter or better equipped to lead these animals to a better future! (Standard elite mentality bullcrap.)

I'm betting the Legion comes out to play when the Enclave hits the mountain defensive belt. Legion forces engaging NCR from the rear and messing with logistics at JUST THE WRONG TIME. Cuz I sure would as long as I thought I could get favorable terms from the Enclave.

    Looks just like a Stryker

    Shhhhh..... 🤫 ;) <I have no idea honestly>
  11. The Whispering Monk

Fallout The Eagle And The Bear [Fallout AU]

One issue I have is the NCR tank gets penetrated, but ONLY the driver gets dead. The kind of penetration depicted would also carry through into the main body of the tank...to right under where the gunner/turret would be. Unless I'm missing something...
  12. The Whispering Monk

Fallout The Eagle And The Bear [Fallout AU]

Yup, anti-NCR force recruitment is going to go through the roof. Hell, I think a lot of formerly neutral farmers and ranchers are about to scalp hunting. No connection to US forces except they'll be shooting mutual enemies. I could even see a Texan CO for the NCR walking into the command tent...
  13. The Whispering Monk

Fallout The Eagle And The Bear [Fallout AU]

I'm amazed ANY Texan force went along with bombing the Alamo that way.
  14. The Whispering Monk

Fallout The Eagle And The Bear [Fallout AU]

There you go again...shattering my illusions.
  15. The Whispering Monk

Fallout The Eagle And The Bear [Fallout AU]

Make sure you keep moving. That way you just get the upper layer of flesh removed and not suffer terminal excavation. Just made that up...but it seems appropriate.

And now backto your regularly scheduled story...(/end thread hijack😛😛)

Ahh....GURPS....interesting system. I only think I played in it a couple times. I've never run a game of it...which is how I realy learn a system. For me, my ability to understand power scaling came from Champions (Hero System).

Fallout The Eagle And The Bear [Fallout AU]

Problem with spaceships is mass/scale akd the unknown. I recommend you just say something like X% of the mass is engines, life support, and operational necessities (computers, wiring, conduit, etc...). Then just rule of thumb it for offensive vs defensive systems. It'll work for parties...

Fallout The Eagle And The Bear [Fallout AU]

Built that one too big! Though maybe it's bigger b/c it needs to fit power armor. To me that just shouts, "I'M HERE! SHOOT ME NOW!" 😃
