    I'm not sure if Sanguinus is the type to slaughter beastfolk on a whim. Like most of the loyalist primarchs, he's more likely to try and get a feel of the local situation before deciding to do anything. It's not like the sight of xenos drove most of the primarchs into a frothing rage.
