Warhammer Warhammer General discussion thread: Now with 100% more Space Marines

Gotta' admit, I'm impressed they made 40K still look somewhat "serious", despite the '50s being too tame and campy to really capture the whole "grimdark" ethos in all its glory. After all, things could only get so brutal or graphic with the standards and special effects that existed back then.

So was I, LOL! 😁 Anyhow, any more Chaos Gods who probably exist, but are rarely heard from and don't have much of a role to play in galactic affairs? Kinda' encompasses fan-made gods whose existence you could make a reasonable argument for, even if GM doesn't officially recognize them. For...

In which case, I guess the biggest reason he's not powerful enough to seriously rival the other four is because of the IP dispute neutering him. Kinda' unfortunate, really, as Chaotic infighting and Chaos's own self-destructive tendencies probably would elevate Malal to (if not beyond) their...

Pretty sure that's Malal/Malice, though? Granted, I suppose Malal's kind of in canonical "limbo" (due to the weird IP dispute between the character creator and Games Workshop), but Malice (now a minor Chaos God) still exists and is as evilly spiteful as can be.

Huh; seems Chesed and Luddredd would get along quite well compared to the other Dark Gods. Of course... by Chaotic standards, "quite well" is probably more akin to how Hitler and Stalin got along. Both were totalitarian, mass-murdering autocrats who made allies of convenience (read: jointly...

Speaking of 40K parallels with Christian mythology, though: In which case, gotta' wonder what a Warp-born version of the Abrahamic God would look like? Even if beings from the Abrahamic faiths still exist without the Warp, I wouldn't discount all those millennia of veneration creating...

Not something I've heard of, either, but an interesting claim in its own right. As I said above, my question was more to do with "angelic" daemons originating from the Warp itself, rather than Warp-boosted mortals or poorly explained miracles? Basically, think sightings of Warp...

Huh; seems I was, at least when @Jormungandr brought it up. Again, though, I'd like to clarify my question concerns "angelic" daemons originating from the Warp itself, rather than Warp-boosted mortals or apparitions? Basically, think sightings of Warp entities who resemble Biblical angels more...

Yeah, some sort of "Living Saint" who appears and vanishes without explanation, if I recall correctly. Don't recall her name or know much about her otherwise, though. Heard of them before, but never really read up on them or what their deal was. By the way, should probably clarify that I'm...

So, bit of an "odd" question, but are there any canonically instances of vaguely "angelic" Warp entities? Don't even need to be benevolent, per se, as even beings that resemble weird-AF Biblical angels while still being enigmatic or morally ambiguous are enough for me. Even then, I haven't...
