It also ain't what's spoken by most Americans. You ain't almost gonna never hear "ain't" as part of that unless the speaker is quoting someone or implying a lack of education on the part of the speaker.

The "American Dialect" is what American TV newscasters speak, sorta like how "Recieved Pronunciation" is Standard British. Go five minutes from a formal setting and you aren't hearing either spoken 100% of the time by someone who isn't a pretentious ass or a naive aristocrat.

It depends on what you want to do. If the field requires a specific degree: absolutely. The specific university you got it from? Not so much once you have a few years of experience. After that, having a degree - any degree - helps but where it's from and what it's for doesn't matter much.

The largest companies I've worked for never had more than 50 people. It's usually been less than 30. Stuff like a mom-and-pop retail store might have less than 10 with a "help wanted" sign taped to the door.

Almost all of the ones at the places where I shop don't have those. Only one store has an automated change system and none of them have an automated self-checkout.

No, the register usually doesn't make the coin change, there's still the matter of getting the banknote total correct, and the manager is often just double checking the clerk's count for "fuck it, that's close enough" because "give-a-penny, take-a-penny" is a thing.

The two equations I shared upthread ... you basically need a B.Sc. with a Math minor to have any chance of solving either by hand. H is the enthalpy of everything present. Solving the second one means calulating entropy. Good luck with that and may God have mercy on your soul because your slide...

No, it doesn't. J. Random Clerk has to know enough basic arithmetic to know how to make correct change and count the money in their drawer when it's time for them to go home towards the end of their shift.

    If she was presented with these two monsters ... Ve = sqrt[2H/M] * sqrt[1 - (Pe/Pc)^(R/Cp)] Ve = sqrt[2(Hc-He)/M], η = (Hc-He)/Hc ... you'd see TILT in her eyes almost instantly because that's rocket science.
