Yup. Here's hoping the RDNA 3 announcement is more of a positive announcement, even though most of the affordable cards probably aren't getting announced until CES.

Nah, watch the Gamers Nexus video. The CEO is just burnt out AF from dealing with Nvidia's BS for 22 years.

Nah, there's probably someone using that node for something. It's not like it's 32nm or some other super obsolete node no one would use for anything if they had a choice.

Maybe Nvidia will convince Intel to make Pascal chips, then stick shitty RAM on them and expect people to pay Ampere prices for the pleasure.

Most of the heat sinks of that size are pretty low profile, but yeah, they might interfere with stuff like M.2 SSDs. (This isn't a one piece big heat sink, but it's the typical height of those things.)

Well, he could buy a big aluminum heat sink for ~$10-12 and a big ass thermal pad and solve the problem that way.

Well, I hate myself for getting in on the Newegg Shuffle for this launch, but prices are real bad. The only AIB cards at MSRP are a pretty lame Asrock dual slot card and XFX's SWFT 309, which is a nice triple fan card. I dunno if the 309 will stick to MSRP, but since XFX has two more higher...

I am using two. It doesn't help when the cards aren't at MSRP once you get past the launch date. I'm not paying $400 for the shitty EVGA SKU that Gamers Nexus reviewed. The only thing you're getting at MSRP is AMD CPUs.

GPU prices are so high that even if you saved up money for a GPU upgrade and have an in-demand GPU to sell, mining is pretty much the only thing that'll offset the extra expense incurred. GTX 970.

I fucking hate that in order to offset the cost of a $480 reference 6700 XT, you literally have to use it to mine. What a shitty market. I find myself constantly flip-flopping between simply ignoring it or trying to get in on the launch in the hopes of snagging something.
