    This makes little sense to me. Rather less of Germany and none of Denmark seems a more logical outcome.

    This is a relevant change. The Rastenburg area was taken by the Soviets in OTL January 27th, 1945. If it is truly last stand land, let's imagine it takes two more weeks, until February 11th. That still means the 12 year Reich capitulates nearly 3 months early, before the Soviets have touched...
