Harem Original & Fanfic Idea, Recommendation & Discussion Thread

As the thread title says, this stuff involves Harems, you know lots of lovers or potential lovers all crushing on the same individual? Thought most people don't think of the Shoujo ones?

I was thinking of doing a thread for this particular subject but this will do I suppose. I wanted to showcase some "western harem" novels that I like that have been showing up on Amazon lately. Its become something of a growing subgenre.

One I really like is michael scott earle, originally I read his work while it was on Amazon, unfortunately he seemed to have ran into some issues with Amazon and now just sells straight from his own e-store.

His favorite harem novels to me so far is Dinosaur Tamer, and Death Ship, although I intend to start reading Star Justice next.

Tamer is about a man who is transported into an alien dinosaur preserve that is being used as some sort of hunger games like scenario. Mild gamer elements and he is given the power to tame dinosaurs.

Death Ship is my fav so far. A sentient ship that runs off life force kidnaps a man from Earth to use as his Avatar. Things go awry and the man is left in a cosmopolitan galaxy with an evil empire and a ship that runs off death trying to get him to do its evil bidding.

Star Justice is his longest running work and looks very good. Its a space fantasy about a were-tiger mercenary.

All three have harems with beautiful alien women in them and they are often quite cool characters themselves.

I sorta hesitate on Western LITRPG’s and Harem, they’re only sort of a few steps above Isekai Webnovels in-terms of how the writer looks to be describing things sorta dully and be dwelling too much on stats and numbers or essentially grinding, their english doesn’t sound like a sociopathic japanese gradeschooler beginning to learn english though

Then where do you go for your harem kick?

My kick is less nondescript and bland audience surrogate nice guy and more along the lines of having a character who’s almost of from a different kind of series suddenly find himself as a harem protagonist, optionally already having had his own adventures

Like Harry Dresden in that Dresden Files/High School DxD fic

I also have a sort of kick when they react differently from the usual harem antics

Imagine this guy having one of those scenes where he accidentally sees a girl naked and for said girl to attack with a kick, only for him to catch said kick and proceed to have an actual martial arts fight

Didn't say you can't recommend your specific harem types, I just gotta say that I sorta like my variation better...still enjoy usual harem stuff

It’s okay, I do gotta say, I do like me some Mamono Waifu’s.
