The "Frontier Marches" is a nominally sympathetic and allied partner nation to your faction and it is currently under threat from a larger, far more powerful but generally peer level opponent that is not only ideologically (or just politically) opposed to you and your entire way of life, but very expansionist and revanchist and just generally contrarian in every way to whatever your reasonable or practical viewpoint is. You don't want a Direct War to breakout, because that would be a costly Humanitarian disaster, but you also don't want them swallowing up your friends and inviting more conflict in the future.

So therefore an alternative has been deduced, sending them aid! Humanitarian Aid. Military Aid. Financial Assistance. You can plan out all of it with the following general guidelines.

1. You are organizing the Aid Package coming from a single polity or other nation-state entity. Using Star Trek as an example, this could be anything from United Earth to the United Federation of Planets... or from WH40K Cadia (Rest in Peace) up to the Imperium of Man (or Tau Empire) or individual countries, like the New California Republic from Fallout or the Principality of Belka from Ace Combat etc. This also includes larger corporations and companies (such as Shinra Electric Company from FFVII or Armacham Technology Corporation from FEAR) or other sorts of extra-national or transnational groups such as Stargate Command/IOC from Stargate or the Global Liberation Front or Brotherhood of NOD from Command & Conquer.

2. The aid should be limited. The Evil Adversary is not one you want to go to war with over invading the "Frontier Marches" but you don't want them taking over the place either. This means:
a) You are not going to give them enough weapons to compromise your own defense or security in any substantial way.
b) Due to potential loss, interdiction, smuggling you won't give them your advanced or secret or confidential equipment and ordinance.
c) You won't give them "offensive" weaponry which is a pretty broadly interpretable term but basically any systems or equipment that would cause the Frontier Marches to not only win, but actually counterattack or invade and trigger a conflict. This also includes providing weapons or other equipment or technology that would likely worsen the situation (ie Weapons of Mass Destruction type of stuff). The aid is meant to help support, sustain and defend the "Frontier Marches" from a limited though serious Invasion not substantially escalate the conflict.
d) It's an amount of aid that is 'small' enough to be logistically and practically transportable and utilized by the "Frontier Marches," so even a few Capitol Ships would be highly sketch.

3. The scale here is generally "Planetary" or "Sub-Planetary" which is vague but I don't want things to go overboard with the numbers and scale. The Frontier Marches may just be a major nation on a planet, or an entire planet, or a star system (or very small space empire). So don't go crazy... think of something amusingly limited to scale. Better thematics that way.

4. The enemy is trying to conquer the "Frontier Marches," but not wipe them out... at least to the point of using orbital bombardment or exterminatus or something like that. Regardless of the practicality of it, we're going with the common trope that there is still a reason for ground invasion and combat! So yay! There's a reason and purpose behind all sorts of aid being distributed.

Small Scale Example Post:

The Multi-National Organization known as X-Com or the Extraterrestrial Combat Unit, in wake of a new mandate of protecting the Earth, has pledged to support the "Frontier Marches" Outer Colonies with a substantial aid package that proved invaluable in previous engagements with the Extra-Terrestrial Threat. With the successful prosecution of the First and Second Alien War, X-Com has vowed to support Human expansion outward including to the territory of the 'Frontier Marches.' However our mandate as developed for us by the United Nations Security Council does not permit us to engage in direct action unless Earth itself is under threat or that of X-Com facilities, such as those on Cydonia.

However our mandate does not prevent us from pledging support, independent of United Nations funding, to the "Frontier Marches" and other sympathetic interests. Therefore the Director and Central Command have approved a substantial aid package to aid and assist the 'Frontier Marches" in their ongoing conflict with this new Extra-Terrestrial Menace and we hope, leading by example, that others will follow suit.

Aid Pledged by X-Com: UFO Defense Project
$40 million dollar aid package (equivalent of eight alien base assaults if they resulted in pure profit)

> Four Large Radar Stations ($3.2 million)
> Two Wide Sonar Arrays ($1.6 million)
> 200 Avalanches Air to Air Missiles ($1.8 million)
> 100 Field Medi-Kits ($2.8 million)
> 1000 Heavy Cannons ($4.8 million)
>> 5000 Inciendiary Heavy Cannon Magazines ($2 million)
>> 5000 High Explosive Heavy Cannon Magazines ($2.5 million)
> 500 Rocket Launchers ($2 million)
>> 5000 Large Rockets ($5 million)
> 20 Heavy Weapons Platforms/Rocket Launcher ($9.6 million)
>> 500 HWP Rocket Launcher Rockets ($4.5 million)

(Adjusted for inflation from 1994 to 2022 however means its actually a $70 million aid package ;) )

Keep in mind, you don't actually need to budget this all out, but it's all for fun.

Bonus if this nerd project gets traction we can see what insane military aid is totaled up from the result of so many disparate contributors.
