ISOT Maryland to December 1860 - how deep in deep shit?

On AH-com there's a fresh thread about Maryland being whisked away to post election 1860 (or maybe pre-inauguration 1861?).
This made me wonder - how long before hungry Marylanders who lost their US Federal bureacracy jobs start looting Pennsylvania farms for food?
Lucky for them 40% of power comes from their nuke. Anybody has an idea how long can it go without refueling?

Could they start producing cars and rifles from at least 1950 level?
1.They could - and form their own state,and later conqer indian territories.Uniting with 1860 USA - simply not possible.
2.They could not - 1860 take over,and thanks to samples of technology and future knowledge eventually take over the world.
