Culture Narcissistic “Compassion”

I think societies at large have sort of gotten into a point wherein people with huge ego’s, but also simultaneously possibly poor self esteem due to lacking things to be proud of, now manage to hide their vanity by pretending to be “heroes” or “revolutionaries” constantly showing the world(news, media and audiences)how “virtuous” they are

Problem with this maybe, is that this “revolution” is just some sort of bandwagon they’re getting into, just because, rather than doing so out of necessity or genuine compassion

And they need people paying attention to them or have a sort of self delusion of fame to keep on going

And before anybody here says anything, unless they’re genuinely doing charity, entrepreneur work and investing in local infrastructure and education. Then they’re not really compassionate or even making an actual effort to really be known as good dudes

There are degrees of Narcissism. Some just crave attention, some of them have to make everything be all about themselves. The worst sort are those who are driven to destroy the happiness of others, simply to distract themselves from their own inner pain.

A Narc who feels driven to actually do good to other people in order to be appreciated and celebrated is way less bad than one who cleverly pretends to be helping others, but is really just making them dependent.

Then there’s the Narc who looks to need to actively go after whatever or whoever they consider the “bad guy” in order to look heroic in front of his peers, even if that “bad guy” wasn’t doing anything and they may have ruined said “bad guy” to extreme extents

They are loved and pure in the eyes of God, afteral they found so many pagans, heretics and unfaithful to punish. Surely they are doing God’s work.
