Books Sci Fi and Fantasy Book Club

Sort of? Guns of the South isn’t a bad book. In fact it’s one of his better less creatively bland ones. At least in my opinion.

Sorry, kinda cracks me up an author would dare write a premise like that and get someone to publish it without fear of backlash
The nineties were a different time.

No way something Guns of the South wouldn’t get massive criticism just for daring to exist today.

Plus, he publishes with BAEN Books, most are conservatives, but I think they get along even with their Democrat types like Eric Flint weirdly enough

Anyway, oddly specific

But anybody here got any Scifi and/or Fantasy books wherein the MC is Female, as in not the love interest, friend or party-member but main POV

Also, even more specific, she’s fanservicey

Think Chainmail Bikini’s, leotards or an outfit like 2B’s?

Yeah, more likely to find fanservicey female MCs in older 2000s and before comicbook series admittedly

Not interested in any pants Lara, reboot looks

Not sure what to tell you about fanservicey female MCs.

As for Turtledove, I think he’s kind of lost his luster.

Given he has daughters to put through college-his works have been increasingly banal and boring, at least from what I’ve heard.

Or maybe he’s just lost that creative touch.
