Stalin tells the German Communists to ally themselves with the SPD in 1932-1933

What if Joseph Stalin would have told the German Communists to ally themselves with the SPD in 1932-1933, with the logic here being that they should ally together to form a temporary German governing coalition until the crisis will pass in order to block the Nazis from ever coming to power in Germany? Had Stalin had a German-speaker read Mein Kampf to him early enough, especially the parts about Russia, Stalin might have actually been capable of reaching this conclusion. Basically, this coalition would be similar to Leon Blum's coalition with the French Communists in France later on in the 1930s and would involve the German Communist Party temporarily giving up on its more extremist goals, such as seizing totalitarian power for itself, in order to actually make itself an attractive and palatable coalition partner for the other German political parties (other than the Nazis, of course). Such a coalition agreement would also likely have to involve strong checks on the German Communists so that they don't get any sensitive positions such as the German and Prussian interior ministeries so that they won't be able to launch any Communist coups in Germany later on.

Anyway, what do you think? Does this actually sound realistic? And what would the effects of this have been?
