ISOT The Destruction of Montreal

Buba

A total creep
All ISOTs involving USA and Canada after 1962 make me wonder - how badly does Montreal suffer?
There is a dam 120km as-the-crow flies upriver from the city:
With half of it gone - it straddles the border at 73m asl - won't there there will be a mini-megaflood hitting the city?
How much water does the dam hold?
How long for the water to get to Montreal?
How high does the water go?
Parts of Montreal are 6m asl - which parts of the city are washed away?

Losing the Seaway for a few years seems minor damage in comparison.

Ouch that's a nasty scenario. Not just Montreal but anything up-river from it is also going to be hit hard and probably some way down-river as well.

Indeed - the city of Quebec should be heavily hit as well. But more time to evacuate.

Another favourite ISOT - California - there are several dams on the Colorado on the California-Arizonan border ... I'm doubtful (but can be convinced otherwise) to what degree contemporary Los Angeles and/or South Californian agriculture can continue as before without water pumped from those reservoirs.
In the leftard wank Golden Island to the West of course everything continues without a hiccup.

I've seen this referred to in a Californian ISOT on another site and the author makes sure that the ASB brings along just enough to maintain those dams.

Even worse possibly bringing northern Sudan, including the southern part of Lake Nasser to some point before the Aswan High Dam was constructed! Or something that removed the Three Gorges Dam in China. Both would have the potential for devastating deaths, quite probably in the millions in the latter case.

Note that without the Dams, the water level behind where the dam is placed would be lower, especially during a dry season or outright drought.
