The creative team behind much of The Great War (a week by week history of World War One), Between Two Wars (a long series of videos covering the Interwar Years) and the currently ongoing Second World War (another week by week history of World War Two) has started a bit of a miniseries, which is apparently going to be a five parter covering the Indonesian War of Independence which erupted almost immediately after the wake of the Pacific War (to the point you had Japanese and British troops fighting Indonesian insurgents to preserve the Dutch East Indies).

Here is the prologue for the new series...

I’m awaiting to see how this series handles the issue.

It was a very brutal conflict. With a lot of violence against the Dutch, but the Dutch were the colonizers.

Which makes me wonder if it will be partisan or slanted.

But with this sort of history, it’s hard not to be slanted.
