But, again, this is true of basically every developed nation. There are still more Russians living in rural areas than there were Russians period in 1800.
It is not problem of lack people - but who are left. They are no old russian peasants who drink, but loved their land, only degenerated drunks which love only vodka.

I don't think your romantacized idea of Russia was ever true. They were considered little better than barbarian hordes by other Europeans up until at least the 19th century.
Letters from Russia was written by De Coustine in 1839 - french aristocrat who come as Russia fanboy, and go back hating russians guts, becouse they were drunk corrupted monsters.
But,even those monsters had honour and keep their world.

Current kgb goons ruling there have all russian vices, but not even one of their old virtues.
Pity.We were enemiesonce, but i would not wish such end on anybody.

Wouldn't a good chunk of the American oligarchy actually be connected to the Military Industrial Complex as well? That's actually going to be difficult for the American oligarchy to adjust, especially if some or most of their wealth is connected to the profits made from selling weapons, although in hindsight, if American weapons were far easier to maintain and more simple to manufacture, they could also gain more clientele in accessing those kinds of hardware.

No these are Russians. There are still tens of millions of salt of the earth types in Russia who do love their land. Honor is subjective, but I'd say neither you or I have room to speak here as our governments are full of retards as well
I'd sort of agree, but the link between the old rural framers great grandchildren and the land has been thinned greatly by stuff like collectivization and forced urbanization.
