Here's an excellent example of cringe journalism in newsmedia. Just look at these headlines. In theory... all of these services should be pretty bland and vanilla. First we'll start with the BBC.
It ruled there was insufficient evidence that a prominent TV host had sexually harassed his intern.

Seems fine to me.
And here's NPR, a public news company in the United States and one of the closest equivalents you can find to the BBC.
Still not too bad, though some may or may not like the mention of the "faltering #Metoo movement."
Now let's check on the News Wire services. Keep in mind, a news wire service should be as close as possible to NEWS READING.
A Beijing court late on Tuesday ruled against the plaintiff in a high-profile Chinese sexual harassment case, saying there was insufficient evidence to support her claims, a decision likely to deal a blow to China's #MeToo movement.

Look at Reuters (my favorite news wire service. It manages to relay the headline and include the mention of #MeToo without any sort of embellishment or bias.
Now lets look at AP News or the Associated Press which unlike Reuters, is a news service based on the excellent of mainstream American journalists and should be basically identical to Reuters in bias.
A Beijing court has ruled against a Chinese woman in a #MeToo case that wound through the courts for three years, in a blow to the tamped-down movement whose legacy remains uncertain.

Oh yeah, that's totally a NPOV take. Maybe "China Rules For Sex Crimes" would be a bit more non-biased.
Now keep in mind, what I'm talking about here has no bearing on the validity of the case or issue being discussed here. Maybe it was a shit decision, maybe not, but I'm posting it here just to illustrate... the AP News is a news wire service but it's complete and utter shit.
Reuters is my news wire of choice. Is it perfect? NOPE. Is it the best when it comes to presenting news in some sort of NPOV? I tend to think so.
