"You get to move your armies through our lands and attack our citizens and determine our religion" is not a treaty, thats a bill of sale.

France during WW2 and Germany at the end of WW1 were both conquered, failed states.

Yeah that’s why the Thalmor and the Imperials talk about the second war they all know is coming.
That’s why the Thalmor want the war to go on to weaken the Empire and Skyrim.

Let's be fair here. The empire (and honestly the races of man in general was made incompetent to make the dragonborn seem that much more special. Heck it seems to be indicated in between lore that the thalmor want to literally end creation "Because somthing somthing totally not a metaphor for aryinsm" and the dragonborn is the only obstical that can get in thier way. Literally the whole narritive of the game is "The world is doomed and only self-insert charecter can save it."

I don't entirely disagree, just look in-universe at the false Redoran claims of the Empire abandoning Morrowind. Just propaganda to justify their actions against the best house.

No we are not going to ignore the dossier about how it’s in the best interest to continue the fighting.

You not liking facts doesn’t change that Empire the Aldmeri dominion are different powers.
This is something acknowledged by Ulfric, a man literally in rebellion against the Empire, Tullius one of the favorite Generals of the Emperor and the thalmor.

He isn't incorrect, we should always take in-universe statements with a grain of salt. But he have little reason to doubt the Empire and the Thalmor truly believe there will be a round two.

Taking the in universe statements with a grain of salt is fine.
Trying to pretend the Empire and Dominon are not two separate powers is another. The Dominion has not conquered the Empire. They got favorable terms in a post war treaty.
Trying to pretend in universe they don’t consider themselves as separate powers is idiotic.
