The One Stop Football Thread (NFL,CFL,CFB)

It's NFL SUNDAY!

I can't remember if we're supposed to stand for the Black National Anthem, raiae our fist or self flaggellate during the song... Or perhapa some combination of the above?

Only thirty minutes til kickoff. Please advise...
I believe this is the appropriate response to the black national anthem:

And then it goes to shit... 2 Ints his first game, not great. Haven't seen the game yet, just looked at the statline.
Yeah, it's almost like the Bucs roster is pretty garbo, which keeps the QB from performing well.

Well after fast forwarding through the Vikings game last Sunday I don't think I'll be missing out on much by skipping out on watching the rest of the season like I did in Week One. 😩 😄

I'm not even bothering to watch Broncos games this season, given the way the NFL decided to go woke, the fact they aren't letting stadiums go to capacity, and the fact Von Miller was out for the season even before it began. No need to waste time watching the crapshoot that will be this season, and not spending any money on their concessions either.

And I say this as someone who has access to 4 season tickets and used to go to every game I could.

Honestly at first I laughed but considering how nerfed the Pro Bowl is since usually large swaths of the best players that year don't participate in it... This might actually be more interesting to watch.

Granted it's highly unlikely I will watch any of it but still... Interesting approach in havong a virtual Pro Bowl via the Madden series.

NFL Hall of Fame Running Back Floyd Little passed away from Cancer at the age of 78. Born bow legged, Floyd would tie his legs together with three belts when he slept in hopes he'd wake up one day with straight legs, which was a source of childhood teasing

He did eventually grow out of the condition and after playing College Ball with Syracuse, was drafted sixth in the 1967 NFL Draft, the first draft in history. In his nine year career he rushed for 6323 yards and 43 touchdowns, and a five time Pro Bowler who led in rushing in 1971.

Despite only being 195 pounds, his wode stance and agility made him exceedingly hard for defenders to tackle.

He retired in 1975 becoming a successful automobile dealership owner and had three kids. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1983 and the NFL Hall of Fame in 2010.

In more positive news (or more negative news, depending on your team) the playoff bracket is out:

I'd say my feelings are mixed. Bears made it in, somehow, but they're up against the saints in the first round, so that's not going to last long.

The Washington Sellouts also made it, though given their record vs the buccaneers, I'm hoping that doesn't last very long either.

Do note that the playoff bracket isn't really a bracket. If the Bills win, they won't be playing the Chiefs. Instead the Chiefs play the lowest seeded AFC team left, then the highest remaining plays the lowest remaining, etc.

Oh thank god the cowboys are not going to the superbowl.

No offense to the players their good folks, got nothing against the owners either but I have relitives in Texas and everytime the cowboys win they are completely insufferable.

So it's Brady vs Mahomes in Superbowl LV? Who do you want to win, and who do you think will win?
As much as I want Brady to win, it's probably the Chiefs who are going to win.
