Since I'm not watching NFL Football anymore, I'm going to cope by posting low intelligence Versus Threads based on the NFL teams that are playing this week. Since this Thursday is the Denver Broncos versus the New York Jets... here's my versus match.

Representing the Denver Broncos is the 71st Light Horse Regiment (The White Horse) of the famous ex-Star League turned Mercenary company, the Eridani Light Horse (circa 3025).

The strength of the 71st Eridani Light Horse (Denver Broncos) is as follows:
25 Strike, Command and Security Lances
8 Recon Lances + 4 Jump Infantry Squads equipped with rifles and 1 Jump Infantry Squad equipped with flamers
7 Long Tom Artillery Pieces
2 Sniper Artillery Pieces
6 Galleon Support Vehicles
4 Motorized Infantry Platoons equipped with lasers
- They didn't bring the rest of their tanks, air lances or air cavalry units... Sad.

Eridani Light Horse TO&E

VERSUS

The New York Jets whose strength is as follows:
106th Rescue Wing (based in Grabeski ANG Base in Central Long Island)
> 24 HH-60G PaveLow Helicopters
> 4 HC-130J Combat King II's
> 1000 Air Force/ANG Personnel including Pararescue Special Forces

107th Attack Wing (based near Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station in Northern New York)
> 24 MQ-9 Reapers
> 12 KC-135R Stratotanlers (Aerial Refueling)
> One Company of Army Reserve Support Troops
> 3000 Air Force/ANG Personnel

174th Attack Wing (based in Hancock Field ANG Base in Syracuse New York)
> 48 MQ-9 Reapers
> 2,000 Air Force/ANG personnel

119th Fighter Squadron (based in Atlantic City Air Reserve Station in romantice Central New Jersey)
> 24 F-16C Fighting Falcons
> 2,000 Air Force/ANG Personnel

MetLife Stadium (located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, a few miles East of Manhattan)
> 85,000 Rabid New York Jets fans have fortified and barricaded themselves in and around the urban areas surrounding Met Life Stadium. They are armed with light projectile weapons (civilian and infantry level firearms) and (potentially rabidly) fanatical in their desire to protect Met Life Stadium from the Bronco themed invaders.

Battle Conditions:

> The Eridani Light Horse will land on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, six miles WEST of Grabeski ANG Base via dropship (the dropships are unarmed) ready for battle and fully loaded out. Thirty support hovertrucks will also be supplied for post-battle replenishment (four full ammunition resupplies plus food and medical supplies etc for a two week long mission)
> All New York Jets personnel are on alert and are ready to engage hsotile extraterrestrial invaders at first sign of detection which will be when the Dropships touch down in perfidious Canadia.
> New York Jets defenders have unlimited (and appropriate) munitions for their aircraft and ground personnel but no replacement airframes. They can also redeploy to the other bases if needed and capable of doing so.
> Neither side is aware of the other sides capabilities ahead of time beyond knowing they are facing a hostile force.
> Attacking and overrunning Defender bases is a valid tactic. AF/ANG personnel (especially Air Force Security personnel) there will be armed with light weapons (infantry and squad level weapons as well as some heavy weapons such as grenade launchers or light anti-tank weapons) and light vehicles (police vehicles, support vehicles, Humvees armored and otherwise, M1117 ASV's etc)

Victory Conditions:

> The Eridani Light Horse must capture and cleanse MetLife Stadium of an infestation of maddened and potentially rabid Jets fans.
> The New York Jets must prevent said outcome either by destroying the Eridani Light Horse or rendering them unable to capture and sterilize MetLife Stadium within the two week timespan

If it makes any differences, the Broncos won the Thursday Night Football game 37 to 28.

With that said, due to the overwhelming amount of interest in this clearly amazing Versus Match... I'll add more details to the matchup. The New York Jets airframes are as follows.

The MQ-9 Reaper which can likely be outfitted with four Hellfire Missiles and two 500lb GBU-12 Laser Guided Bombs or two 500lb GBU-38 JDAM (GPS guided) Bombs.

The F-16C Fighting Falcon will be the latest Block 52 variant. It'll be armed with one 20mm M61A1 Vulcan Rotary Cannon and can be equipped with up to six under wing hardpoints can carry up to six Maverick Air to Surface Missiles or four 500 LB GBU-12 Laser Guided or GBU-38 JDAM Bombs or two AGM-88 HARM missiles if they feel the need to utilize those for some reason.

On the ground it's mostly Air Force support personnel equipped with light weapons but as stated in the OP there will also be Special Forces Pararescue Personnel available. And Air Force Security Personnel who are traditionally more heavily equipped. This'll include a full array of infantry weapons (assault rifles, carbines, machine guns) but also things like the M2 Heavy Machine Gun, MK19 Grenade Launcher, M72 LAW, FIM-92 Stinger and M29 81mm Mortar and armored Humvees to mount the heavier ordnance.

The HH-60G PaveLows aren't really meant for frontline combat but actually the insertion of special forces teams into hostile territory or rescue operations. They are typically crewed by Special Forces pilots and have either M2 Heavy Machine Guns or 7.62mm Miniguns mounted by the side doors. The HC-130J is meant for support of combat search and rescue operations and can aerial refuel helicopters as well.
