Tristan would be incredibly dangerous combatant if he could switch off his overthinking, but that is like a central pillar of his personality, I doubt it could be done.
It is certainly something he'd have to work on, as unless something drastic happens to him he's stubbornly set in his ways. He may be mentally flexible in some ways, such as viewing combat and operations in simple yet effective ways (undermining a base over decades if prep-time is not an issue), but his basic personality is quite resilient which Jarn even notes here about how Tristan is in many ways still the ~8 year old kid he found. Tristan has learned a lot, but he hasn't progressed past that point of his trauma for the most part.
Put more simply, Tristan is basically Aspertartes like his Primarch Asperturabo, something that helps when autistically sitting down and analyzing mountains of data to work on something mechanically or tactically, but leaves you vulnerable to the sudden chaos of direct combat. Natural -4 to initiative rolls.
Learn from your enemies, for your enemies are learning from you.
Palamedes certainly is gathering more information on them the more they encounter one another, so it's important that Tristan continue learning and taking good ideas from around him so that his foe will not be the ultimate victor of the two...even if that means learning from Rogal Dorn.
Physics is reasonable (outside of Warp that is), human soul is not, we are essentially unreasonable beings who are occasionally reasonable, Tristan being incredibly reasonable is thereby completely out of sync with the humanity
Tristan is as you say quite naturally disconnected from Humanity, even more so than the baseline Astarte is, but what ties he does still possess to it are those from when he was first found by Jarn: he deeply cares about a sense of nobility from his childhood upbringing as a knight's son, he cares for those around him, he viciously hates Chaos and those who willingly serve it, and he has a surplus of the innate Human drive to survive.
However he won't bat an eyelash at removing an entire Xenos species on a planet from existence if they are hostile and threaten him and his men, as while he would rather do things without conflict (it takes time and resources and thus is inefficient compared to just peacefully minding one's business) that doesn't mean he will be so empathetic as to let you live if you are a threat. That ruthless and utterly without mercy side is saved for those who typically earn it in some way, though his general disconnect from basic Humanity might see it arise on other occasions too.
With this being the case, it is perhaps fitting that his personal moniker has become the 'Iron Lich'.
Great chapters.
Palamedes is helping them in long run, becouse he destroy their tracks - as long as his warband would be tracking them,IoM would be unaware or Iron Warriors existence.
It is a natural byproduct of Palamedes' actions yes, though Palamedes himself benefits more from doing so at the moment since he can leverage his greater forces as a threat that make the Iron Warriors back down from otherwise great sources of minerals and such that can be used to fuel their war machine. Instead Palamedes obtains whatever is left behind, and while he has to brush up against the Imperium more he is able to use those spoils of war to recoup his losses.
A less competent commander would fall victim to the Imperium, but so far Palamedes has been able to mostly escape its ire and whatever Imperials he has come across haven't lived to tell the tale...if they were not corrupted into joining him that is. Besides, some bloodshed now and again keeps Khorne happy, so this balance of expanding his forces and occasionally fighting grand battles suits a Khornate warband well.
Maybe they could even retake their planet after destroing Slaanesh cult there,if Inquisitor there would cover for them.He is serving Alpharius, right?
He was, but in a prior update it was noted that he was slain when meeting with Verita by the Governor's forces. They gave chase to her and she sustained injuries in the process which is why she was bleeding when she met Alpharius, having survived the ambush and barely made it out with her life.
Iron wolfes - great idea.
Is scorpion lead by insect mind? it would be wery useful.
Why not use ants hivemind to lead their other automata?
Or wasp minds for missiles ,both on land and in the space?
Tristan will likely stay away from AI that can talk and communicate with one another because while he is not so worried about AI rebellion as to not dabble in it at all, he wouldn't want a Men of Iron situation to crop up.
At the moment what he has are essentially Star Wars Battle Droids, Zoids Command Wolves, and Bionicle Nui Jaga if I were to compare them to other things. The Battle Droids are literally meant to go into battles where casualties are expected so fixable droids get wrecked instead of Astartes or Humans, so they only have the minimal AI necessary to do their jobs, while the Wolves have their former doggo instincts and mind, and the Nui Jaga are still a work in progress but probably will have a "dumb" AI to prevent these massive war machines from causing issues to allies.
P.S How they manage to hide fact that Tyrion is dead from Imperial Fists?
Forge records, make it seem like he survived, have the loss of the base be his reason for joining the Deathwatch, and the people who knew him personally are dead or nowhere near Kimara so won't be able to contradict the narrative.
Standard Alpha Legion work basically. If no-one can contradict you then it is much easier to convince someone of the 'truth'.
Also, with Ossus being sent ahead to Kimara I guess we have the answer how Isolde was upgraded to semi-space marine specifications, some of her friends as well. He probably will also make sure that Iron Empire infiltrators in Deathwatch outpost can pass imperium checks.
This is definitely likely given the details you mention. Ossus being involved in whatever arrangements Jarn had with Fabius Bile, and Ossus being on Kimara, makes him having something to do with Isolde being a modified Human logical. Chances are others at the Schola are as well, but unlike Isolde whose existence seemingly came from nowhere (the Commandant just brought the young Isolde there one day without anyone knowing from where) others likely would have had to undergo surgeries...but when the Schola runs every aspect of your life, who are you to question some allegedly routine medical checkup or surgery?
With this in mind the physical feats Isolde and some of the others have accomplished is even more justified, as they are not merely the top students of the already elite Schola system, they have been augmented in various ways. This being said, they aren't truly super-human by most measures, merely enhanced as is common throughout the 40k setting. Kimara already regularly practiced gene-crafting so a variant form of it is not even going to be out of the ordinary on such a world.
No female space marines, but that doesn't mean one can't utilize the existing 40k baseline Human enhancements to make even the female Schola students perform at peak/optimal Human levels.
