Yeah, if there’s anything that’d piss Napoleon off to no end, it’s how France got steamrolled by Germany in mere weeks, despite having solid advantages in actual military hardware (but also shit leadership that cost them everything).

Of course, France arguably got the better deal of the two in the final analysis—being a nuclear power with a substantial military and surefire diplomatic influence, among other things—but global superpower? Yeah, nah; America’s got that covered.

Anyway, I meant it as a hypothetical that put into perspective how France went from conqueror extraordinaire to cheese-eating surrender monkey in just one month (as the meme alludes to). Obviously, I doubt Nappy would be too pleased with that, though given the fate of post-war Germany, I suppose there are worse hands history could’ve dealt the French.

I'll be honest; I thought that you were talking about Napoleon III and the Franco-Prussian War here. Though then you would have said months rather than weeks.
