Modern people don't understand what hungry and purposeless people may latch onto. When you can't find meaningful work and you can't even feed yourself and your family people get desperate and willing to hear that message of blame for your ills and how they will make it better with these offices/powers/laws.

Eh? I'd argue the vast majority of people have no clue what made the Nazis rise to power, and even if they do know, they would deny them.

that was one factor, you also had a collapsed economy, hyper inflation, a generalized break down in law and order, you had the soviets breathing down their necks and funding communist insurgents who did try to overthrow the government in recent history and a very bloodsoaked example of what would happen to the german people if they won right next fucking door.
You had the national humilation of the second world war, with reperations and of course it cant be under stated that the french were cunts during the inter war period and on top of that you had a pretty fucking incompent leadership that made a lot of bad calls.
Germany during the 20s and 30s was not a nice place to live.
There's a LOT more reasons than that lmao.

All german democratic goverments from 1920 till 1933 made deal with soviets to destroy us - forgetting,that they would be next.
And that commies with which they cooperate tried to destroy them in 1919.
All true - but,without Hitler,german democrats would still allied with soviets,genocided Poland,and then soviets would take over Europe.And genocide rest of our continent.
To be honest,Hitler,compared to what german democratic goverments would do,was lesser evil for western Europe.
For us ,notching changed,soviets take us anyway.
